nancy wheeler x reader
this is set with the plot of season 1 but the characters of season 4
the group is hunting demogorgens again and you’re on your way to the gate to the upside down with steve, robin, eddie, and your girlfriend, nancy. you see nancy slow down and look off into the distance. you stay back with her and wrap your arm around her. she smiles and turns to hug you back. you pull away and ask, “what’s wrong nancy? you’ve been acting weird ever since we left your house”. she explains, “i’m just so worried about mike because he misses will so much”.
you look at her in the moonlight and realize she looks exactly like timothee chalamet. this deepens your love for her. you kiss her on the forehead and both continue on your way to your possible deaths. although you’d rather do anything but go into the upside down, you know you have to do everything you can to help will escape, especially because it means so much to nancy and mike.
when you reach the gate all five of you walk through it and pull out your weapons. steve has a bat, robin brought a knife, eddie broke the long end of his guitar off, nancy has her gun, and you’re using a slingshot. one of the reasons you love nancy is because of how girlboss she is with her guns. she literally slays every time she fights something from the upside down.
as you make your way through the upside down to find will, nancy’s killing demogorgens at every turn. you finally find will hiding in castle byers. as soon as you see him you race over and hug him because you’re so happy to see him. you breathe a sigh of relief as you realize byler can be real because of you. you turn to nancy, grinning proudly, but as she smiles back you see a demogorgen lunging for her. nancy can’t see it because it’s behind her so you leap over to save her. she doesn’t see you moving towards her so she shoots, aiming for the demogorgen but hitting you. you scream and fall to the ground, seeing the look of realization in nancy’s eyes as her heart breaks. she grabs onto you and kisses you for the last time, whispering her final, “i love you” into your ear. you feel a single tear fall from your eye as you’re heartbroken that your favorite thing about nancy was the thing that ended up killing you.
