1. How many WIPs are you working on?

answered in full here, but the short answer is 3 (the ring-in 2.0, eurotrip and cause of action), with a bonus 1 which is fully written but slowly wasting away in my google docs due to neglect.

2. What's a story you'd love to write but haven't started yet?

AH thank you for asking! i am currently obsessed with this s 1 canon divergence/au idea i have for 911 lone star. it involves a neighbourhood dispute and was originally supposed to be something very silly and humorous and suddenly became a 4000 word, 10 chapter outline with a lot of TK character study.

i want to write it but i'm going to have to wait until i finish the ring-in 2.0 :)

also @rmd-writes and i have another co-written fic idea that i need to revisit. the plan is all over the shop. it could either be something very angsty or something very fluffy and there's a certain challenge that we need to overcome in writing it but!!! although i've seen it done in other fandoms, i think it could be very unique in 911 lone star!

nice ask week! if you could give any of your favourite characters a tour of your home town/city, who would you choose and why?

hi friend 💜 my nice ask week asks have been languishing in my inbox for weeks now, and since i'm really sick this week, i decided it would be a good time to sit down and put my thinking cap on. i apologise for how late this is!

i live in melbourne, australia (i think i've mentioned this before both in my fics and on tumblr, so it's not a secret), and initially i picked AGCD for this, because we have a very vibrant coffee culture and we all know how much alex loves a caffinated beverage.

that being said, melbourne/victoria is a lot less touristy and 'adventurous' as other places in australia/nz, so i worry that Alex would be bored by it. it's got a bit of a lowkey energy about it which i think makes it a great place to live, but maybe not so much of a great place to visit (unless you're a sports fan and then it's absolutely perfect because we have the australian open, a grand prix, international cricket matches, a huge horse racing carnival (not my cup of tea, but you know), a wealth of AFL games if you're interested in that etc. etc.).

in short, i have no idea lol. sorry this was a terrible answer, but i'd be really intrigued to know what other people (especially other antipodean friends) think!

2. a character whose POV you're currently exploring?

i really liked this question because it made me realise that i never used to write carlos POV and i think over the last year or so i've almost exclusively written carlos POV. i just checked my ao3 and i wrote carlos POV for:

my parts of The Rainbow Fish;

almost all of ALTA;

my parts of (Un)Professional Services;

all of living at the centre of a wound still fresh; and

my parts of my current collab WIP with @rmd-writes.

i think the only recent tarlos fic i've written in TK POV was the really stupid one shot about twilight? which makes me extremely nervous about 10 Things AU because it's a POV split lol. i hope i haven't lost TK's voice!

as for firstprince - i used to be so anti writing henry. i felt like i could never get his voice right? but my chapter in never the same twice was henry POV, and eurotrip is 50% henry POV and in the wise words of our bisexual disaster lord and saviour, AGCD, "we all gotta learn and grow, sweetheart".

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

an impossible question! i don't know actually. i think i have a strong affinity for love game, purely because it's a fic i just really loved writing. the whole experience was everything to me. i think speak for yourself has the same vibes, because even though my writing is comparatively bad compared to my newer fic, it is my original baby. it brought me so much joy and introduced me to so many amazing friends <3

J: What’s your favorite fanfic trope?  Have you written it?

it's [X] to lovers. idiots to lovers, rivals to lovers, exes to lovers, friends to lovers. I have written many iterations of it, and that's no accident. also, meet uglies. i LOVE meet ugly or meet awkward. nothing better than two characters being absolute fools around each other - see GIF below for my reaction to when i read these fics.

T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?

not sure if it's really a trope, but i'm not a big omegaverse fan. i just don't understand it? although i try to never say never because i wanna keep an open mind and all that.

‘Are you wearing my hoodie?’ TK asks half an hour later as he strides up behind Carlos, hugs him from behind and kisses his neck.

Carlos turns from the stove, where he flips pancakes, to face his fiancé and offers a smirk.

‘Good morning to you too, fiancé,’ He says, cupping TK's face in his hands and kissing him gently.

‘Couldn’t wait for me for breakfast?’ TK asks as he hops up to sit on the counter beside the stove.

‘Actually, I was planning to surprise you with breakfast in bed,’ Carlos tells him, motioning to a breakfast tray on the counter.
