i changed the gender of one of my characters in the editing process, does anyone have any tips on how to work with the them/they/their genders without making the plurality confusing? ((ie if there are two characters in the group and i refer to one as 'they', it sounds like im referring to both)) maybe it just sounds strange to me since ive been staring at it for a few hours, but is there anything i should do to make it smoother or would it make perfect sense to a reader?
