It’s been ten years since my first NaNo. I’ve “finished” my KotOR fic for NaNo at least once, that first year, and again, I think, in 2014? Maybe? Whatever. The point is, I’ve never finished the story to my satisfaction. I’ve never written the story Tana and Kael TRULY deserve. So, 2018? That’s what I’m doing. Come hell or high fucking water, I am FINISHING Echoes of Exile and finally, FINALLY, putting Tana and Kael to REST. After a decade. Then I can tackle the rewrites/edits to Blue, and turn my attention, after that is finally fucking finished, to getting Harley OR Arien’s story told. I don’t actually give a fuck which one it is. It could even be Beth. I don’t care. ANY Shepard. And then I can move past THAT hell and finally finish the goddamn James/Hermione and then there is only ONE in-progress fic that will need my attention, the one I promised the amazing ladies at @olicityhiatusficathon like - forever ago, wrote two chapters of, and got stuck. So. I’m doing this. I’ll set dates and deadlines to keep my goddamn ass on track, but the WRITING portions WILL BE DONE by the end of NaNo 2019, if I treat every month as NaNo until I finish my in-progress fics. And then maybe I can finally turn my attention to my unfinished, unpublished fic that I’ve basically declared my magnum fucking opus and have never felt that I had the skill to tell the story to, which has been affectionately (and sometimes not) known as FLOAP for almost the entirety of sprog’s life.
