So, how is nanowrmo going for everyone? I have forgotten how to make a decent plot line and am using excessive description to hide the fact that I have no idea what I am doing.

This graph of my daily word count for this NaNoWrMo perfectly describes my creative process.
I need a masterlist of all the internet’s various “events.” You know, the shipping weeks, the character appreciation days, the months where people draw a mythical creature every day. I’m sick of never learning about these things until it’s already too late to participate.
Acting Trick for Writers
Since I’m going through and editing my book right now with this trick for dialogue, I thought I’d share as I feel like it’ll be useful to others:
When creating dialogue in a scene, know that your characters each have an objective. There’s always a reason WHY they’re doing and saying what they are.
Back when getting my theatre degree, we were taught this method when looking at a script. A good actor knows WHY they’re saying what they are and moving somewhere according to their blocking.
Because just like an actual human has hundreds of objectives everyday, so do the characters in a book or play. It’s based on real life.
WHAT ACTORS DO:
Normally you take out a pencil (NEVER PEN IN A SCRIPT) and write down what your character’s objective next to the line of dialogue or blocking.
Always do this in an active tense so that you are active within the moment.
“To woo”
“To persuade”
“To wound”
“To reveal”
It adds dimension to what you’re saying.
HOW TO USE THIS FOR WRITERS:
When editing your story - no matter the length - do this exact thing.
For every dialogue or movement in a scene, especially when something important is being displayed, say what the character’s motivation is.
Do this with comments on the side of your digital piece OR literally write it like I did:
Remind yourself so that you can write it better.
This creates FLOW and realistic characters for the reader to relate to.
There’s always a reason your character does something. So remind yourself of that and you’ll have a good performance ❤️
NaNoWriMo
I last minute decided I'm doing this.
I'm not gonna be available for half of November which is why I'm asking now
I'll be doing a one-shot a day
Any AU you can toss at me, however I won't do gore or intense agnst(my shipper soul can't take that) or anything too intimate (I'm baby)
ALSO you can just send in a request for my girl that isn't ship related and I'll do it. Like Marinette actually gets some sleep 2k19?
I'm gonna accept 30 requests - one for each day - from any of the below ships - don't be afraid to combine some of them, poly ships don't bite
Am I aware this list "blank x Marinette"? Absolutely, I love my girl
Lukanette - Luka x Marinette
Kagaminette - Kagami x Marinette
Felinette - Fanon Felix x Marinette
Adrienette - Adrien x Marinette (the closest to canon I'm going with Adrien is s1 baby)
Chlominette - Chloe x Marinette
Daminette - crossover! Damian x Marinette
Ivanette - Ivan x Marinette
MariKim - Marinette x Kim
Some of these I have no experience with but it's about the learning curve here.

Writing
So I am doing #NaNoWrMo this year. Off to a great start. Got my word count in, 1,600 words. Today's goal is 2,000 words. Just easier to add to the current word count.
I have found that you can add add-ons to Google docs. So I have added a word count feature. Now I can keep track of how many words I have written. It is very helpful.
There are other add-ons I might add later.
Today is a full day before I write. Gotta get my writing space cleaned up and rearranged. Front room needs cleaning. Also need to fold laundry. Gonna tackle laundry after I finish off this post.
So the plan is to clean and work on novel today. I've got this.
Um.... I want to try to write a horror novel for next month, yet I don’t have an idea for a monster or anything. Are there any monsters or anything spooky that happened to anyone lately?
Had my last NaNoWrMo club meeting today and I'm kind of sad about it. It's going to be weird starting nanowrmo next year without my teacher/club leader. It's also going to be weird not using the young writers program and instead using the main website.
