Circles in China!

I received a beautiful 3 piece set of colored pencils over the holidays and have begun using them on a subject matter which I find very enthralling.
This is a mashup up of a few “water towns” in China’s Wuzhen, Zhouzhuang and Nanxun Provence.

难寻的南浔古镇
One of the more popular activities to do along the eastern coast of China is to visit its ancient water towns, most of which are dotted along the Grand Canal at the southern provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu. The Grand Canal was built from the Sui dynasty to facilitate trade between the northern capital at Beijing with its southern cities. While there are numerous water towns in close proximity from Shanghai (朱家角,无锡,乌镇), a friend recommended 南浔.
南浔 proudly claims to be one of, if not, the last ancient water town that is pre-commercialised. Visiting the water town on a Monday afternoon was also a welcome respite from the Sunday crowds at Hangzhou.
