things you said when you were scared

Nikki’s all smiles as huge tear drops run down her cheeksand off the sides of her face. She wipes them away, but soon gives up as there’sjust no sign of stopping despite her constant reassurance of her well-being. Shejust stares, heart filling with happiness, and lets those tears fall.

“I thought I wouldhave to live without you.” Paige blubbers, as she wipes away the waterfallscoming out of her eyes and onto Nikki’s face. Nikki’s never seen her look socolorful; Paige’s face is a strawberry red, dark violet rings adorning the bottomof her cocoa colored eyes.

It’s absolutely beautiful and Nikki wishes she could sit upand kiss Paige senseless, but she’s currently confined to a hospital bed, freshout of neck surgery with strict orders not to move a muscle.

“Paige,–“ TheBella begins, in another effort to calm her sobbing girlfriend, but she’ssilenced by Paige’s lips. A surprisingly soft peck to her mouth and Nikki shutsup, not saying another word as Paige leans away.

“No… Nicole, I…”Paige starts, but she stops suddenly, looking like a fresh batch of tears wereon the way. Nikki lets her take time, watching her seriously, anxiously waitingon what Paige had to say.

“I love you.”Paige declares. Nikki almost responds with an eye roll and an ‘I know,’ but shemanages to hold it back as Paige continues.

“I really, really loveyou. I cannot stress that enough. When I saw you, unconscious, and when theyrolled you away from me, I thought my heart stopped. I know this was supposedto be an easy procedure and we agreed that you would be fine, but…” Paige’sface twists again and a small whimper sounds from her throat.

“I couldn’t help butthink about what could go wrong! If I would have lost you today… This wholeshitstorm just made me see how much you mean to me and how much I love you and…and… You’re my whole world, Nicole. I couldn’t go on if you left me. I was soscared.”

Nikki wipes at tears again, this time, her own, because shefeels like Paige just shattered her heart and rejuvenated it at the same time.Her usually overly tough girlfriend is bawling her eyes out, looking so small…Nikki’s not used to this and she wants nothing more to hold Paige right now.

“I don’t want you outof my life, Nikki.”

“I won’t.” Nikkianswers immediately, her voice raspy from tears and surgical drugs.

“Ever. I mean it.” Paige resumes, pressing tiny, fleetingkisses to Nikki’s face, then one full one to her lips. “Nicole, I want you forever… Marry me.”

Am I a fan?: Yes, I am!

Favorite move: I love the PTO. It’s such a great submission move and it looks like impossible to get out of.

Favorite match: Her match against Emma at NXT ArRival. It’s honestly one of my favorite matches ever, because that is the match that really put the NXT Women’s division on the map and both women performed perfectly in it. A million kudos to Paige and Emma!

Favorite feud: Her feud with Emma in NXT was really great! Those two have great chemistry together and I’d love for them to have another full blown feud in the future.

Favorite promo: Her promo video for Night of Champions when she was facing AJ Lee and Nikki Bella. That was a really good one.

Dream match: I said the same for Emma, but a Mania match for her and Emma. I’d love for it to be a Tables match, too. Both women have stated that they’d love to have a hardcore-ish match with each other.

Seen live?: Yes, twice!

Unpopular opinion: I wish she’d go back to her badass character in NXT. I love how much more confident she’s gotten over the years, but she really did well being that silent badass who’d kick your ass just because she can. No slut shaming, no bringing up dead brothers. Just proving to the world that she’s one of the best through her wrestling ability.
