so I was at pride in the city I go to uni to today, MY FIRST PRIDE, and like

I’ve seen families with kids and all of the family members had painted rainbow flags on their faces and all kinds of things

I’ve seen a plethora of lgbt couples kissing in public with intent and without fear of being judged for doing so

I’ve seen people shouting against the homophobia of our government

I’ve seen what is possibly the biggest amount of people gathered in one place at once to share their voice about themselves and pride and the fact that we as a people are ALL valid

and 90% of them were all so young too, and the oldest people were probably those leading the pride

and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen

and god sometimes I really am scared for my country but today I had hope.

Went to pride today. Presented as a girl. Met new people (including the trans dude whose fist is pictured above). Danced my feet off. Felt better than ever

Last Saturday I went to my first pride ever, it was one of the best experiences of my whole life. I felt free, surrounded by people that were there just to show their pride to be who they are. My boyfriend and I had a great fun singing and dancing even though we were tired because if work. I'll never forget that feeling. I won't miss a single pride from now.
