Embracing the shrinkage ☺️☺️..I love this look #queenofkinks #nhdaily #nappyisbella
hello, i want to share about this weeks hair review on Curls Unleashed twisting gel/butter i got form my house mate. To be honest i have never used any other twisting gel apart from Eco styling gel..which i never even ever used to apply. i started off with moisturized stretched hair and just did the ordinary twists but when applying the twisting gel i only applied at the ends. And these(above) are the results..i havent had a full set of curls in my head for a long time.. i guess my hair was screaming “ we need to be twisted with a good twisting butter!!” lol.. i think but i loved and love the results a lot and got a lot of compliments at work. it made me feel good and am considering on going on a buying different twisting butters.. so i can share how they are working for me and maybe they might also work for someone out there on this same journey.
CARE: as far as caring for the hair so that it still has the curls and looks good..the first night i pineappled it then went to bed. That is how i ended up with the high puff on the next day because it had lost its shape.
The night of the third day, i spritzed the hair..massaged my scalp and sealed with a little oil..of course the curls were still popping.i then made large twists than before just to give it volume for the next day..i will be rocking the high puff this week while i anticipate pre poo, Deep conditioning this weekend yeeeyi hehehe.
Moisturizing dry 4c hair.
Many times we neglect our hair thinking if it still looks good then its alright. Oily OR greased hair and moisturized hair are two different things do not get this confused, You would rather have moisturized hair than oily hair, oily hair will just spoil your clothes and you wonder why your pillow is full of oil. Am telling you now stop using too much oil!! you are wasting your oil firstly and greasy hair is not sexy trust me, i used to make that mistake all the time. Anyway this is why am here to help you moisturize and seal in that moisture into all your hair strands without oil dripping down your neck. Usually i will grab my spray bottle which has leave in conditioner, water, coconut + castor oil and a little of honey, i have also realized that this mixture also makes a good de tangler for my hair. Let me take you through the steps its not hard and it really doesn take me a long time to do it.
step 1.
spray your hair, i usually start with my edges all around my head then i section into 4 parts sometimes if am too lazy or in a hurry i just make 3 sections, i use my fingers to de tangle all big knots i had, i am very careful during this time not to break my stands or pull them. Then i spray my ends.. i start with this because my ends need to be trimmed its been a while and usually your hair is driest at the ends.
Step 2.
With that, i continue by rubbing the wet ends going upwards connecting to my scalp, i dont know if that makes sense..lol.. but i think it does.any way moving on make sure you spray enough not to make your hair wet but just to give it that easy to handle feeling you know.
Step 3.
i then continue by rubbing about a drop of oil (coconut oil+ castor oil) into my palms and this goes a long way actually..rub my hands together then just like what i explained above, i also start from the ends working my way up, sometimes i might use a wide tooth comb to just continue helping me detangle the hair fully but this is an option for me.
step 4.
finally i twist the hair. i haven used any sort of butters lately but my hair seems to be respond well.
remember your hair is beautiful.. do not give up it all comes with time.
NOTE.. drinking lots of water is not onlygood for your body but it is also good for your hair.
am basically describing this weeks work protective style and ho i achieved the look. listen and enjoy
