Several kilometers of text... why not? My thoughts on this character and this entire game can't fit in a single sentence.))
🌚I like how Narathzul is presented in the story. At the beginning, he's praised so much that he almost seems like a saint. "For all that's good, against all that's bad." Narathzul is a light paladin who champions the freedom of mortals.
🫠Later, the plot reveals his true nature. He was no different from those he fought against. He saw nothing but his goals, heard no one but himself, everything he did was aimed solely at satisfying his desires. And he viewed his allies merely as resources. Even with the gods, he had purely personal scores to settle, which was the only reason he started the war against them.
"Whoever is not with me is against me"; "If you are not mine, then you will be no one else's"; "I am the savior, and therefore everyone owes me" - these are the dogmas of Narathzul.
He's unrestrained, impulsive, selfish, and all of this hints at Narathzul being a true tyrant. Throughout the story, I felt this, and my attitude toward him increasingly changed. But even at the very end, when Narathzul is already dead, he doesn't change. He's resigned to his fate, because he has no other choice. But he remained just as arrogant and made no secret of the fact that he used the protagonist as a tool to achieve his own ends.
The saddest thing for me — is that Zelara is doomed to spend eternity alone with her executioner.
🫣Forgive me, those who love Narathzul. These are all my personal conclusions. I simply hate Narathzul as a character, and I admire the creators of "Nerim" for the way they present their characters. They are deep, complex, and nuanced. This evokes a storm of emotions and also gives rise to reflection.
finally got their personal designs down :D !
enjoy how I interpret/draw these fools (oh how i love them so)
