THE National Party has been accused of betraying its core constituents by failing to support farmers in their fight against the coal seam gas (CSG) industry.
Anti-CSG campaigners gathered outside the offices of Nationals MPs in Tamworth, Dubbo, Grafton and Lismore to express their anger yesterday.

Last week Greens Senator Larissa Waters introduced a bill into federal parliament that, if enacted, would give farmers and other landholders the lawful right to refuse mining companies access to their property.
All nine Greens Senators voted in favour of the bill. Not one Labor, National, Liberal or independent Senator voted for it. This vital piece of legislation that would have reinforced the private property rights of all Australians was therefore soundly defeated.

The Salt
Ok, I have been thinking a bit more about the salt that is going to be created from this drilling. Well we now know that Santos has bee lying. The Nationals have been lying along with many other people who are in powerful positions. We have proved that the aquifers can be damaged. Once damaged they cannot be fixed. So, here we have the story on the salt. What are they going to do with it and the produced water. This article on the salt that comes from CSG is really a bit frightening when we know that anything these companies say to us is all lies. So what are they going to do with the Salt? It comes up even if they don't FRACK So what are they going to do with the produced water?
