As I was saying I think Count Saint Germain is still holding all the cards here (Heh. Pun only somewhat intended)
The powers of the gang line up decently well to these fairy tales. But not exactly. And I think thats the point. Because the details of the stories are important.
Superficially, a lot of these powers line up:
Zuma lines up with Hansel and Grettle because its a story of two siblings facing terrible hardships.
Momo lines up somewhat with Alice in Wonderland because she went to a magical other world and got shrunk down.
Kouki is Snow White because of her last name and the little pygmies (the dwarfs) that follow her.
Rin in the little mermaid because her whole singing thing Aira is gonna be little red riding hood because Acro Silky was originally described as the woman in the red dress.
But all of these are summaries that omit important details of these stories that are the core to them. And they ignore the very Japanse yokai and stuff that are also important to the individual stories.
They're being hastily generalized to fit into European narratives for this Vlad guy, and losing their identity. Like how Momo kinda lost her identity with her memories being gone And how Kouki had lost part of her identity initially before regaining it back.
This arc/saga is about colonialism.
The Red Baron was an urban legend of an World War I fighter pilot.
Jack Wisp takes elements of several "Jacks" from European legends like Jack the Ripper and Jack-o-Lantern (whole bunch of weird folklore there) as well as Will-o-the-Wisp.
Vakappa, while taking the water powers of the Kappa, is visually reminiscent of a European monk (specifically with his stupid bowl cut)
NOW Of course the person controlling this narrative here of equating the Yokai powers to Fairy Tales is Count Saint Germain (again, another legend/folklore figure from Europe).
He's telling Vlad exactly what he wants to hear.
Which is what he's been doing to everyone this entire time. Giving promises of power, safety, freedom, whatever, and then he gets something else in return.
Now what I'm concerned about here, is what is Count Saint Germain getting out of this.
Broke: Dandadan isn’t anywhere near to being over since Momo and Okarun still aren’t together
Woke: Dandadan isn’t anywhere near to being over since the main villain hasn’t done anything yet
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Ok. Sorry.
Yeah no; worth the wait indeed.
Not mentioning the last panel.

The European Space Agency invited me to their mission control centre in Germany to find out what it takes to be a Satellite Operations Engineer working on their new Earth observation satellite, BIOMASS.
