SEMI-SELECTIVE CROSSOVER AND OC FRIENDLY MULTIVERSED
rules information in character blog
Ahem ahem. Would anyone like a narrative-form roleplay. For Homestuck. I have many ships I will do off the bat and many more I could be convinced to see the value of.
People I can play with confidence: Sollux, Mituna, Karkat, Terezi, Nepeta, Eridan, Rose, Roxy.
People who I'm shaky on but can probably still do: Kankri, Cronus, Porrim, Gamzee, Dave, Feferi, Meenah, Equius, Tavros, John, Jade, Meulin. May update later if I think of more.
To note! We have not read and do not plan on reading the epilogues.
Can and will do sfw or nsfw (though that is 18+ required, and I'm checking you for that) but will not do: noncon, hurt no comfort, or (permanent) major character death.

After You
Brinn cautiously knocked at the door to Ralin’s office this time and backed away a few steps. His head swung back and forth, checking the hallway for an annoyed Lalafell to come jumping out of the shadows.
The door opened a crack. “Yeah? Oh it’s you.” Ralin opened the door wider and turned to walk back towards his desk.
Brinn was surprised at how dark the library was. Usually the lights were bright for reading; now, only one small lamp was lit on the desk. He frowned over at Ralin. The guy looked like he hadn’t slept in days. His button-up was untucked and rumpled; his suit jacket discarded messily across a nearby stack of books. Brinn’s brow furrowed as he noticed the smell. “Ugh, Ralin... you look... and smell, gods... like shit. What the hell is goin’ on? Rain told me to come an’ talk to you. She was sayin’ somethin’ about you checkin’ on her or somethin’? What the hells have you been up to?” He took a tentative few steps towards the desk.
The Spirit Too Near, pt. 2
Valia contemplated the entrance to the library from her vantage point high in the fir tree. Her head darted to look as a raven took off nearby. Once it had flown some distance, she turned back to the massive edifice. “I would’ve expected it to be more...”
guarded?
“...busy.” She finished petulantly.
A chuckle. You meant guarded... and it is. Look.
“I don’t see any...”
You’re looking with your eyes, you fool! Try again.
Valia shifted slightly and heaved an annoyed sigh. The grainy bark of the tree felt ready to shove a splinter into her hand at any moment. She jerked her hand back when she felt a small prick on her finger, then quickly grabbed at the branch above before she tottered off and fell fifteen fulms to the ground. “I should get closer.”
Why?
“I don’t want to fall.”
I won’t let you fall.
“You sound...eager.I don’t believe you.”
I won’t let anything happen to you. Trust me.
She was already making her slow way back down the tree trunk, carefully reaching out for each sturdy branch as she went.
You know I won’t let anything happen to you... and you know why too.
Valia stayed silent as she crept towards the crumbling bridge that led up to the library. “How close are the guards?”
LOOK, damn you!
“FINE!”, she hissed. She narrowed her eyes but a moment, casting about once more to see if anything living approached where she was standing. Inhale. Exhale... Valia reached inward to find the core of her aether. In her mind’s eye, it looked as though a lightning bolt had been trapped in a gem, then smoothed and polished until it shone dully. She pulled at the feeling of the thing, picking strands away as though emotions could be tangible. She felt her soul turning outwards, threads in hand, preparing to send them out. In a childish gesture, one she had always been prone to since she was an infant, she threw out her hands as if casting a net. The threads of aether flung out from her fingers and dissipated into the air. She slowly opened her eyes.
On the bridge, on the stairs, and near the entrance way into the library itself, grotesque shadows milled about. Wings and claws stretched. Dark maws howled soundlessly. Valia’s green eyes widened in fear. “What is this place??”
FINALLY!
Valia could feel the waves of joy hammer at her soul as if they were solid. She stumbled forward, clutching at her head.
Ah, ah... not too close!
Valia’s body froze mid-fall, her limbs unresponsive. Panic bubbled to the surface. She struggled, thrashing against the invisible restraints, heart pounding in fear, but her body refused to move.
What is this? What is happening??
“I finally got what I came here for.”
The shock of hearing someone else using her own voice felt like ice water coursing through her soul. Her soundless scream seemed to echo all around. Desperately, she tried reaching out to the dark figures nearby with her aether.
“No, none of that now.” Valia’s body turned and strode away from the library, back towards the trees.
Valia suddenly felt very tired. Now what?
“Now we wait.”
The Spirit Too Near, pt. 1
Valia attempted to shove yet another set of clothes into her already overstuffed bag, then screamed in frustration. There were no rush of footsteps towards her door this time. The hallway was quiet; the whole building was quiet but for the soft hush, hush of curtains moving sluggishly in the warm air. “UGGGGH!” She threw herself onto the bed face first and yelled out her frustration into the blankets.
You’re a fool.
“Nnnggg...” She pushed herself up off the mattress and shoved her bangs out of her face. Pieces of her thick hair stuck straight up as though framing her face with exclamation marks. She glanced over at the bag now jammed against her hip, then hefted it over onto her pillow. “I’m a fool.” She sighed and walked over to her dresser. The drawer was off it’s track again and listed to the side when she pulled it open. Valia sighed in annoyance. The old wand still shone brightly in the light as she retrieved it. It wasn’t the most powerful weapon she’d come across, but it was easier to conceal. It would do. “Not the most powerful by far...”, she murmured as she put her hand on top of the dull shards that littered the bottom of the drawer. “I should just let him die.”
You should.
“Don’t let the flowers go this time, would ya?”
No one is here.
Another exasperated sigh. “Whatever.” The bag spit out a frilly shirt as it rolled off the pillow. Valia didn’t notice as she slid the window quietly upwards.
No one is HERE.
“I know, but they’re still watching.” She carefully eased herself out onto the small ledge at the back of the building and turned and shut the window once more. She tucked the wand carefully behind her belt, then put her pale hands against the wall. The plaster was rough as her fingers slid by. Only her toes could find purchase on the ledge where she balanced precariously. She approached the corner anxiously; it was the only difficult part of this trip and she’d nearly slipped before. She held her breath, fingers gripping the corner, exhaling only once she’d made it to the roof of the stables. Valia glanced around the yard, then lowered herself to the ground.
“Now for the library.” She whispered quietly, then trotted off down the cobbled road out of the Goblet.
It’s a trap.
“I know.”
The sun was in it's first hours in the sky, when Trey arrived to the Gates of Rabanastre
He had chosen wisely to travel by nighttime, since the desert sun was merciless even in such an early hour. Fixing his cloak, he passed by a group of Lizard-like creatures, who chatted with a merchant. This was a complete new world, therefore he shouldn't be so surprised, but he couldn't help but stop when his eyesight caught something, or someone, very similar to their M.O.O.G.L.Es...
Focusing again on his task, he looked for someone friendly enough to give him directions. He tried two merchants before giving up, their only interest was to push him into buying their wares. This time he would approach a customer.
The conversation was short lived, since the woman seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, but she gave precise directions to his desired locations. Thanking her, he left towards the royal castle in the far end of the city.
"I am not a puppet."
Sephiroth had always enjoyed calling him that. A puppet, a mere tool… and the Remnants, they called him ‘brother,’ 'the black sheep of the family'— those… infuriating things. Like he would ever be their puppet or their brother...
But, more importantly… Why did Sephiroth always have to come back…? Especially now— when he had finally found happiness and comfort. He always sought to tear him to pieces, it seemed, choosing the right moments to resurface. Ever since the night he set Nibelheim up into flames, he had been the nightmare that plagued him, even in his moments of warmth and comfort.
Now, knowing of Sephiroth’s presence, he couldn’t sit in his living room, as he was now, and be comfortable. He was restless, afraid, angry— and he knew Sephiroth knew. He always knew…
But, it didn’t matter. No matter how restless, how afraid, or how angry he felt— he would put an end to him, once and for all. No matter what it took. And he’d be damned if he made anymore sacrifices on the way this time.
He couldn’t afford to lose anyone… anymore. After all, it was the thought of what he could lose that had him scared— not anything else. And while it did make him weak, it was also his source of strength. He had to remember that. Had to.
“Just… Zack…” he murmured quietly to himself, closing his eyes and sinking back into the couch. “Hurry and come home.”
‘I need you. Right now…’
The first nightmare
Nights are never a good time for Riku. He can't bear to sleep by himself, he needs to have someone next to him as he falls asleep, he has to have the comforting presence of someone tucking him in at night or else the nightmares return. He's had them occasionally in the past but they've become a nightly occurrence since Fran left. He wishes he could have nightmares like normal kids, about being chased by monsters or something simple like that, where he could wake up and realize it was all fake. But no, his mind was much crueler. He had two recurring nightmares, one was a montage of memories, and the other was too good to wake up from.
In order of occurrence he remembered everyone that had left him. The times he had spent with Serah, his first mother, she was caring and nurturing, and all he could have asked for. But as he would reach out to give her a hug she vanished, and he felt himself falling, but before he hit the ground he felt a safe embrace, there she was again, apologizing for letting him fall. He would look up at her with teary eyes and she would lean in to kiss her forehead, but before she could everything went white. He would come to to find his godmother, Princess Aurora, Rori, offering a helping hand to help him get up. They would hold hands and walk back to her house in the forest where she would tuck him in and prepare him a warm glass of milk, but as he took a sip he began to choke on it and he fell out of the bed.
He wouldn't be able to breathe but in his moment of need he felt a pat on his back and a voice softly saying "come here little one". Suddenly he would be able to breathe and he would turn around and everything would be right. He would see his Bunny and she would pick him up. For a moment he would be happy. But that moment would not last long because as soon as he would get comfortable in her arms she would drop him and walk away without a word.
Every time he hit the ground he would wake up screaming with tears in his eyes. But no one would ever come. And he would curl up and cry himself back to sleep, trying desperately not to let the fact that he was all alone in the castle get to him.
Tonight was one of those nights.
