hello everyone! once again, it’s ya girl nina, coming back from yet another hiatus (😅). getting adjusted to life as an adult in another country has been a lot, but i’ve really missed being creative and posting on tumblr, so i am once again announcing my return (and hopefully this time it’ll stick).
however, things are going to be a bit different. over the past few months, i’ve been working on an original story! it’s along the same vein as naruto/my hero academia/other similar anime, but the characters and plot are my own original ideas. i’ve been really wanting to share this story with other people and gush about my characters, so i’ve decided to start posting my original story on this tumblr. i’ll start by posting a sneak peek and some character profiles, and hopefully soon begin posting chapters! (i do have a large personal event coming up next weekend, so i won’t be able to edit and post a full chapter until then, but i should have plenty of character bios to get y’all excited ☺️). as I post about my story and upload chapters, i would really appreciate some feedback. i don’t mind taking constructive criticism, but of course be nice and civil about it. and if you really like something, let me know! my ultimate goal is to hopefully self-publish one day, but since that is a large goal to work towards, i’m hoping that you guys can help me improve my story and provide the support i need to reach that goal.
as far as posting fanfic goes, i probably won’t be posting much fanfic anymore. i’m just not super into anime at the moment (at least to the extent of writing fanfic, though i am here to talk about it of course). i have some old drafts and ideas i may work on and post at some point, but don’t expect it. for now, i’m really focused on my personal story, and i hope you guys will enjoy it just as much as my fanfics :)
that all being said, i’ll drop a sneak peek of my story under the cut! if you guys have any comments/questions/concerns, please drop me an ask. i hope that i can be active on here again (for real this time), and share my story with you. i’m nervous to put it out there, but y’all have been nothing but kind since i started this blog almost 2 years ago (!!), and i look forward to sharing my story with you :)

“It’s been a while, Hiroko,” Hideyoshi started, his tone still as light as it had been in front of everyone else earlier.
“Don’t call me that.” Any semblance of fake niceness had disappeared from her voice. He doesn’t deserve any kindness, Not after all that he’s done.
His smile dropped, the mask finally coming off. “Would you rather me call you Princess, then?” A hint of a sneer crept into his tone. This was the Hideyoshi Kazama that she knew -- the way he was since starting at the Academy, at least.
“Kawashima is fine.”
“I’m not calling you by that fake name.”
“Would you prefer that I tell my father you’re going to blow my cover?” A flash of fear shot across his face, and his dark expression dropped.
“Fine,” he said, somewhat defeated. He took a breath, and his firm tone returned. “You remember why you’re here, right?”
Hiroko nodded silently, feeling a lump grow in her throat. “Yes, of course.”
At that moment, she saw Hideyoshi look behind her, down the hall in the direction they had come from. Hiroko turned, trying to look as unsuspicious as possible, and her heart began to beat heavily in her chest. She locked eyes with Chishiya, who was sporting his usual grumpy expression and had his hands shoved deeply in his pockets.
“Gotta pee,” he murmured, passing behind Hideyoshi into the restroom. Hiroko’s nerves were on fire. If he catches us…
Hideyoshi stepped close to her, their shoulders nearly touching, and whispered in her ear. “Remember that you’re not here to make friends. Do your job and keep your head down. We’re all counting on you, Princess.” With that, he placed his hands in his pockets, and walked away casually, as if he had just left the bathroom.
