Hi! I was wondering, how long is too long when it comes to nail length? I don't typically grow them out past 1/4 inch of white, but it looks elegant long on some people. Any advice? Thanks! :)
That’s an interesting question. It largely comes down to personal preference, and I think both short and long nails can look pretty/elegant/badass, depending on how you wear them. Personally, I find that neat, even shapes are more important aesthetically than length.
I often feel torn about my nail length: longer nails give me more area to decorate, but I have longish fingers to start with, and when my nails get too long they start to look a little talon-like for my taste. Right now my nails clock in at about 1/4” past the end of my fingers, and I think that’s just about right for me.
I also have a visceral negative reaction to nails that are long enough to start to bend majorly. But to each his/her own. I try not to be overly judge-y of other people’s fashion choices, there’s far too much of that in the world already.
