Like seriously though I’m so sick of going to enjoy gothic media I’ve been told is romantic only to only be confronted with the most in your face illusions to class disparity, corrupt government, toxic relationships, or grooming that I’ve ever seen in my life. on top of her not ending up with the “monster” In the end since he’s a “bad guy”

And don’t get me wrong I love a good dissection of society through the lends of dark and fantastical themes, sometimes the alluring monsters in fiction should represent the alluring monsters in real life, but sometimes I just want a girl to smooch a vampire in his big castle. I just want for her to live happily ever after in spooky forest with the eldrich horror that’s been chasing her.
