I was studying genetics and in order to force myself to study I’m doing the calculation and figuring out how much % DNA the kids of jameson and Avery and Libby and Nash share.

Jameson got 1/2 of genes from his mother

Nash also got a 1/2 so, Nash and Jameson share 1/2*1/2=1/4th of DNA

same for Avery and Libby.

now the kid of Avery and Jameson got 1/2 from each of them so 1/4*1/2=1/8 gene shared with Libby/Nash so 1/8+1/8=0.25 now only half of this is inherited by the kid of Libby and Nash, so 0.25/2=0.125

Hence the kids of Libby and Nash and Avery and Jameson share 12.5% DNA common. Which is interestingly same as the amount of DNA full cousins would share. Hence the kids are actually each other’s 100% cousins not half or quarter cousins.
