Teensy treat for everybody who’s been digging on the music in the most recent purging-of-gifs-and-footage, insomnia-sponsored Pocket Winchester vid [phew, that was long]. Brandi’s voice/style tends to lean folksy-bluegrass, and the Old Crow boys [above] lean bluegrass-traditional country, so it’s an interesting acoustic garage take on “Alibi” - and one that country fans ‘round here might enjoy more.

I love them so, SO very much. Her music comprises.... geez, *easily* 75% of my writing playlist(s). A good handful of her music is a heavy, heavy, HEAVY influence on/part of the aesthetic of/sets the tone for my lead O.C., Jane Ripley,  in that big-ass SPN epic I’m penning.

Also give seal of approval for anyone who tinkers with acoustic guitar, I find her stuff pretty dadgum easy to pick out by ear & can pop into most any vocal range you’d need it to, s’long as you’ve got a capo laying around.

I thank you much! I have taken to answering many [most] of these lovely notes with music from my writing playlist & here’s one that’s in the subcategory for my BAMF OC’s “training montage”, training she’ll eventually need to hone some pretty stout powers that got dropped into her lap. 

It’s a Swedish DJ’s take on the show “Teen Wolf”s micro theme music, which is a really good piece, but feels faaaar too short. I need to watch that show eventually, saw part of the first season. I enjoy the little whip-smart redheaded gal immensely. I digress.

To... gosh, coulda been more than 10 throughout today... let’s still do some music from the ol’ playlist.
