I entered a tournament recently as we scraped together a womens team. Duels were fun and I won one. i was nervous and not mentally prepared for groups, I got a big punch to the head which hurt my brain and I got upset. Was also a hot day which i'm not built for so was trying to prevent heat exhaustion the whole time. A lot to handle, but everyone was happy for the experience and to see so many women's teams. We even had some international fighters travel for it!
Today was a good day. We finished this short ride by rearing, bucking in place, and refusing to do a flat footed walk. He’s 25 and lame on three legs so that was fun. Gordie, also had a blast and was very good.
After spending two days candying tangerines I unironically signed up for Noom.
It ended up being about $145 for my goal and a length of 8 months which is less than $20 per month. Can I dedicate $20 a month toward my goal? Yes. So I did it.
I’m 3 hours in and ok. It’s interesting.
Photos of tangerines: I did some dried and rolled in sugar and some wet and canned in syrup.
The Noom thing was inspired by this little horse I had my eye on at an auction. He sold for $800. $800. He’s a barely started 4 year old and with 6-8 months of some basic dressage work this little guy (15-15.1) would look *so* good. Ugh! I am *going* to get another horse soon. I just am so I need to drop some weight and get in shape 😤 (and actually quit my awful job and get a better job).
If anyone is interested in Noom updates let me know and I will make a tag.
For the record, I’m all about HAES (health at every size) but I can’t ride a 1000lb 15h weighing over 250 regardless of how good my seat and balance are.
I also believe an unbalanced rider of 125lbs does far more damage than a balanced 200lb rider but that is a discussion for another time.
Anyway, that’s my candied tangerines, Noom, horse post for the week.
Am I going to become a baking blog? Probably not, but I am attempting to candy tangerines, because my tree made approximately 1 billion of them this year.
