What's in a name? // Joxing (feat. Natalie)
Some of his favorite moments were the reunions with his daughter. In such a short time, their bond was stronger than he'd ever experienced before, and this sweet little girl was his entire world. As he was let into the house and caught sight of her and she of him, they both came alive while her arms outstretched for daddy. "Talie!" He exclaimed with vibrant enthusiasm as he reached down and picked up his angel. With a light, short toss in the air, her giggle filled the air with its brilliant force as he caught her and pulled her back into him. Her little legs wrapped around him as he turned to her mother for the hard part. It was his weekend, which meant Sherri had a few nights without her. He knew how that felt, and he wished they had a better solution so neither had to part with Natalie this way.
Always lingering longer than he should, he abused these shared moments to be selfish with Sherri. "You look good. How's work goin'?" He began with the usual idle exchange, but these words hurt more than he ever tell a soul. This was the girl who turned his world around, and she was still the one plaguing his mind at night with the what ifs. Clearing his throat, he needed to ask her something today because if he didn't do it now, he might lose the nerve. Too long he had put this off, so he just went for it. "Can we sit down and talk for a second? Before I go..."
