Saturn 7th House: Natal
Saturn rules over restrictions or slow progressions. The 7th house rules over relationships. My question is, do people with 7th house Saturn feel that their partners are similar to their fathers? I came up with this question from this interpretation:
Saturn is seen as the father in a person’s birth chart. The 7th house ruling over relationships. Having Saturn in the 7th house typically would show restrictions in relationships or learning some type of lesson through your relationships. A lot of what I’ve read talks about people with this placement says that these people should wait until their Saturn return before getting married. My thoughts with Saturn in the 7H is that it could also show similarities between the person you’re in a relationship with and the person’s father figure. This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending mostly on the father. This placement doesn’t necessarily mean that you will date someone that looks like your father but some personality traits may be similar. For example, you may subconsciously date people that remind you of your father. I know that in psychology they say that men look for women like their mother and vice versa for women (heterosexual). People with 7H Saturn may be more inclined to this. For example, being in a relationship with a guy that has the same degree or occupation as your father. This could also manifest negatively as being in relationships with people who are alcoholics, if your father is also one and not really noticing until it is too late. For me personally, I tend to date older men which I relate to my 7H Saturn.
