BUT WHEN DID THIS CONVERSATION HAPPEN. WHAT WAS THE CONTEXT

It was in “Newborn King” in season 9, when Tony visits Gibbs’ after bailing on Wendy’s Christmas party.

I don’t remember the entire conversation, but the gist of it was that Tony was mulling settling down, and Gibbs was characteristically short with him. (This is the “two cups” conversation.)

Flower Shop AU thinky thoughts

So I was reading this list of Alternate Universes and scrolled past flower shop AU thinking naaaah-ooooh, wait…what if Tony played a prank on Abby, which completely backfired, and he has to buy her a black rose every day for a week before she’ll forgive him. So, after visiting four flower shops who don’t sell black roses, he stumbles into Ziva’s flower shop—all grumpy and moody because he still thinks it was an excellent prank and he’s now two hours late for work and definitely getting a head slap—but he perks right up when he sees her (not like that, you perv), because she’s actually holding a black rose…and you know, she looks really hot (okay, fine, so maybe a little bit like that).

Anyhoo, he shows up three days in a row buying a single black rose, making alarm bells go off in Ziva’s head, because, seriously, who would buy someone a single black rose every day except for a stalker with nefarious intents. So she actually engages in his flirting on day four, while twirling extra sharp pruning shears and occasionally drawing attention to them—she may have quit Mossad after only one year, but she hasn’t lost her interrogating skills—and he tells her about pranking a friend at work and now paying for it, but then his phone rings, and she can hear someone barking at the other end of the line, and he gives her a nervous smile, quietly says “work”, pays for the rose and leaves. Reassured he’s not a stalker, she checks out his ass on the way out and absentmindedly wonders how forgiving his friend is while sipping her tea.

Fourteen flowers, and many conversations, later she asks him if he’s deliberately buying black roses to sort of piss off his friend, because they’re not really popular, she only has one customer who frequently buys them, but she’s a goth or something. So Tony perks up again (I have to stop using that word…although, he definitely perked up the night before thinking about her), and says “happiest goth you’ve ever met?” and Ziva nods, but they get interrupted by another customer. He shows up the next morning—before opening hours, with croissants and her favorite tea—and they chat some more, and Ziva’s starting to wonder why the “happy goth” hasn’t forgiven him yet, it’s been two weeks. Not that she’s complaining.

Another week later—she may have had a dinner date with him in the adjoining greenhouse on Wednesday…but it was just pizza, so maybe it wasn’t exactly a date…of course, he did bring fancy wine, as well, so maybe it was—Abby walks in all chipper, and Ziva strikes up a conversation with her, mentioning Tony. Abby rambles on about how exciting it is that they all know each other, and Ziva asks why she hasn’t forgiven him for the prank yet, it’s been three weeks.

“What are you talking about? He’s like a giant puppy, you can’t stay mad at him, I forgave him the next day.”

CAN I JUST SAY na your blog makes me want to go back to school again. Para lang makapagnotes ako ulit hahaha (I am considering going pursuing further studies lol; your blog just really inspires me to be more organized with my notes) 1/2

Hahaha wuw. This is weird, because when I see itong mga kabataan with their notes parang uhh I want to go back to high school din. Kasi nuon mas may structure pa ang mga ginagawan ng notes. There’s a lesson, then there’s a textbook, tapos madali lang mag notes and reviewer haha. That said, tara!!!! grad school!!!! The note-taking part is a mess, since nga fewer ang textbooks and less ang memorization, but goodness all the writing you’ll do. Plenty of room there to make notes hahaha. Haha. Thank you, thank you! <3

omg I love the fic you working on it it’s so amazing and that’s not my fault it was tv ������

I’m trying to finish the one chapter that held up this whole fic for two years... I’m determined to wrap it up no matter how terrible and nonsensical it is so I can finally end this madness and complete it... But there’s a reason why I couldn’t figure out how to write it two years ago and it’s not much better now, lol.

I really wish you were here back when the fandom was at its peak. Tuesday nights and wednesdAys were crazy. I would love to have read your initial thoughts after an ep aired!!!

Oh man, that may have broken me haha. 

Like I seriously don’t think I could have handled all this fuckery in real-time, knowing what we know now, lol. Been there, done that too many times with other shows and I swore I’d never do it again.

... Then again I didn’t expect to fall in love with these characters when I spent years actively avoiding this show for various reasons so WHO’S THE DUMMY NOW. I guess I just met my own surprise huh??

I was so heavily invested in another fandom at the time, I don’t think I could have handled 2x the insanity, lol.
