It's very strange, that dynamic. Jeremy at least may decide Felicity should go to college. I could see that.
The one I really don't understand is Nathan Maxwell. He was raised for like 10 years outside of extreme fundiedom before his parents got insanely strict and fundie. He remembers that life. He absolutely dotes on his daughter Christina and has mentioned they have a special connection. And yet. He's raising her in one of the strictest, most repressive fundie families and belief structures, with no room for her to go to college, have a profession, or explore the world. It's baffling and depressing.

I was really really hoping she was done. I know the Maxwells would never prevent but I was really hoping that they would just, like, abstain until she couldn't get pregnant anymore. Her pregnancies are terrifying and risky, and the fact that Nathan knows that and is clearly worried about it - I just don't get it. - Mary
