"I feel like I should be surprised to see you here, and yet..." Nathan slid into the seat beside them with a gesture that suggested running into Terry was more of an inevitability than simple coincidence, and perhaps it was. If there was anywhere he was going to find them the cabaret certainly seemed the most fitting place. The fact they were in Blue Harbor almost seemed like a minor detail.
Almost.
Around them, the house lights were dimmed and the room bathed in a deep red glow and on stage a line of glittering women danced to a seductive, jazzy number, adorned head to toe in rhinestones and feathers. The number had seemed cheesy at first, a little cheap even, and he'd considered having it pulled. However, after seeing several rehearsals he'd come to develop what he viewed as a sort of Stockholm Syndrome relationship with it. He'd even caught himself humming along a couple to times, much to his disdain. Regardless, the audience seemed to be enjoying it. Nathan had been tucked away at the back, observing with an expressionless look on his face that seemed to make the staff around him nervous, when he'd spotted Terry in the crowd. Had it been anyone else the moment might've been jarring, but Terry was Terry and, well, it was like he said... he wasn't surprised.
"What do you think?" He asked, nodding towards the stage. "Too much glitz or just enough?"
