Trump elevated Pulte to the country’s top spy role despite the fact that he has no known intelligence experience.
Jacob Knutson at Democracy Docket:
President Donald Trump tapped loyalist Bill Pulte, a top housing official, to serve as acting director of national intelligence (DNI), a cabinet position tasked with overseeing the U.S. intelligence community. Pulte currently leads the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and has no known experience in intelligence. What he does offer is loyalty: Known in MAGA circles as “Little Trump,” Pulte has used his relatively minor federal housing post — and his chairmanship of mortgage groups Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — to help target a swath of the president’s enemies.
In a statement, Sen. Mark Warner (Va.), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, slammed Pulte as “someone who will be willing to shape intelligence around the president’s wishes, regardless of the cost to the American people.” “This is how intelligence becomes politicized, how inconvenient facts disappear, how agencies charged with protecting our democracy become tools to manipulate it, and how Americans are left more vulnerable to a terrorist attack,” Warner said. Asked Tuesday about the appointment, Senate Republican Leader John Thune (S.D.) told reporters that Pulte would have “a lengthy road ahead of him” if Trump nominated him to take the position permanently. “He’ll have to go through a confirmation process and hearings and everything else, so we’ll see,” Thune said, adding that “we don’t need a weaponized DNI; we need professionals there.”
Donald Trump appoints fascist kook Bill Pulte to the DNI spot vacated by Moscow Agent Tulsi Gabbard on an acting basis. Putting Pulte in that spot is endangering national security, as he has used his FHFA post to conduct bogus “investigations” into the Trump Regime’s foes.
"She's wrong"

This is completely laughable. The guy that got into a physical altercation with treasury secretary Scott Bessent, was accused of accessing private data in order to fuel political prosecutions that failed of Leticia James & others for mortgage fraud that had those cases either thrown out or struck down in court, and has absolutely no intelligence background WHAT SO EVER.....is now in charge of National Intelligence. That makes total sense.... This is truly sad, that he can't find a single qualified person that wants the job, and his cabinet is shrinking as he gives multiple positions to the people that are left. This is truly, spectacularly, insane

Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, has announced at a Cabinet meeting that her office has uncovered evidence of vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems, which could allow hackers to manipulate election results. This revelation emphasizes the long-standing susceptibility of these systems to exploitation.
The evidence specifically points to electronic voting machines from Dominion and Smartmatic being at risk of altering election outcomes. Gabbard's findings support the push for implementing paper ballots nationwide to restore voter confidence in the electoral process.
The announcement comes amid ongoing investigations into election integrity and the politicization of intelligence, with Gabbard stating that her team is actively working on these issues. The implications of these findings could have significant impact on future elections and the trust in the current voting infrastructure.
Donald Trump’s new choice is just as unqualified as the last one.
Clayton has passed countless litmus tests proving his loyalty to the MAGA movement. He has seeded doubt in America’s election integrity, claiming as recently as Monday that there is a “deep problem with voting in America.”
