Today is National Equal Pay Day.

It’s 2021, and women on average still make only 82 cents for every dollar a man makes. The pay gap is even greater for women of color as well as tipped workers. This is a reminder that there is still much work to be done to close the gap and achieve equality in pay.

I meant to repost this on #NationalEqualPayDay, but no matter, until the wage gap is closed this will always be a daily issue. I am an educated Black Woman (2 degrees a BSBA & a JD) and I know even with all my education & years of work experience my earnings are well below some of my counterparts with less education & less experience. And that is sad & it is not fair. But no matter what we must not give up & keep fighting for what is right.
