Coming together nicely. This 5 string fretless bass will have 4 New Zealand native woods. Black maire fret board, matai and black maire laminated neck. Matai cover around the Rimu decorations and a kauri bowl. Now this is my 5th guitar I think I must becoming a luthier.

so i'm impatient.... i just wanted to make sure it would sound good, now i can't stop playing it. New Zealand Native Kauri top, Rimu back sides and neck.
i know, i know, it's been a while. to be honest in between trying to nail down a business plan, getting the flu and a chest infection in the last few weeks i feel like i've done bugger all. but here's what i have done, and in retrospect it's a hell of a lot more than i thought.
unfortunately there's not a lot that's actually "new" just processes that get repeated. again and again.
