Ah....that's the in-universe explanation, but why is that the writers choice, that's more what I'm critiquing. I was under the impression that she was the main protagonist. It kind of disappointed me to see that all the real action was performed by Eric, Bill, and Jason.

As for my opinion on what you think Sookie has concluded: that's disappointing. I feel sad for her, that she doesn't see that staying connected to Warlow will only lead to pain.....but I'm also part of the audience who has been shown flashbacks of Warlow's behavior.
