How this manga looks To Me
There are a lot of small changes from the manga to the anime for Tamon's B-Side that range from inconsequential to funny to interesting to egregiously out-of-character, but my personal favorite is that Natsuki vapes now. He Would Not Do That. But, like, it's kinda a funny thing to have to point out they got wrong. Ohhhhhhh they got my guy's nicotine addiction wrong........ whatever happened to accuracy. in my guy's nicotine addiction.
Since Natsuki’s “B-side” has made its way to the anime, I figured I’d share my playlist for him :)
Your comedic relief antagonistic background yaoi is doomed one-sided transfem x nb to me. btw.
On my private server for just myself I have a channel for typing random thoughts/analysis of things, and looking back at it I’ve found some absolute bangers (manga spoilers of course)
I love keitsuki 😄
Also. Like. Ok I made Natsuki look pretty bad with that last analysis. But that’s just one half of the keitsuki equation. The other half is that Natsuki is an incredibly perceptive person who has a sixth sense for telling what other people are thinking and feeling and what’s going on. But he is plagued by inertia and he never does anything with all that he sees. He’s also naturally talented when it comes to music, but again he just does not put in more than the bare minimum effort, if that. At his lowest point (chapter 26 flashback), he doesn’t even care to keep himself alive. He’d probably have wasted away if Keito wasn’t supporting him materially and keeping him on track, and he definitely would've when he was 15 if Asuka hadn't regularly fed him.
But Keito is the opposite, she throws herself into taking care of people practically but is a bit deficient when it comes to being there for them emotionally. We see this with her brother Kaito in chapter 60, how he doesn’t care how elaborate the food is or if the house is clean, he just wishes she would eat with them normally like she used to. Also, the emotion that primarily drives her interactions with people is anger, and she seems hell-bent on sending herself to an early grave via burnout. All this considered, she could stand to be a bit more like Natsuki: stopping and observing the people around her.
So yeah, they’re pretty neat.
