I remember seeing some posts that were like "if aliens' only knowledge about us was media, they wouldn't think fat people existed/were rare" or something to that effect, and while true, I've been thinking; this isn't about aliens, but we're seeing something similar happen in real time.

The sheer amount of people insisting that fatness didn't exist in the past astonish me. They assume it wasn't as common purely because they don't see fat people depicted. Some go so far as to say that fatness is a recent development.

But you can find photos of fat people in the past. You can find historic statues and artistic renderings. We have always existed. It's just that people either don't want to believe it, finding any excuse not to believe it, or they don't want to search for it.

Depiction is so important.

"Fatphobia isn't real" says the eating d*sorder blog, who then says "just hit the gym"

"Fat people aren't oppressed" says the person who's entire shtick is mocking every fat person or fat positive blog and post they can find

The hypocrisy of it all. My head hurts

Biting and gnawing everyone who says "I support fat people BUT-" and the caveat is "as long as they're HEALTHY" or "as long as they're not O*ESE and UNHEALTHY and DANGEROUSLY FAT"

Weak, the lot o ya! Weak I say! I am metaphorically whacking you with a broom! People don't owe you their health records (and of course the medical systems aren't at ALL biased, banish it from your heads! /S) to be treated like people!

Getting real tired of people saying how Clint (Stardew) is a "nice guy" / "incel" when all you see is *checks notes* Him having a crush on a woman, is too painfully shy/anxious to actually go and speak with her, has trouble getting his point across, and is understandably heartbroken when the farmer romances her.

And the whole him still being interested in her if you marry her, that's just the coding that hadn't been changed when Emily was made a marriage candidate.

The community really does like to assume the worst in characters that have flaws, huh?

Is anybody else getting bombarded by these spam posts in various tags? Good lord I think this may be the worst wave of bots with the sheet amount I've been encountering them

LMAO Some fatphobe commented on one of my vent posts saying "why take pills when you can just cut calories!". When I went to their page to block them they made a whole as rant post themselves about how they hate "fat positive fat people".

I was annoyed at first, but this I just find funny as hell. Like, there's 9000 problems in the world you could be worrying about, and you choose to hate people who are okay with how they look! LMFAO Like pick a struggle mate 😂

Trying out Cult of the Lamb and I went to adjust the graphics settings (weak computer) and I noticed the Accessibility settings and??? It's so thorough???

It has settings for text, screen shake, automatic things like fishing and cooking, unlimited hp, and whatnot and I'm just!!!! That's so sweet!!!
