I love this clip from Bernardo Kastrup, in which he makes a distinction between IMPORTED wants that come from the outside (i.e. what our society/culture/family tells us we SHOULD want) and the NATURAL wants that come from your natural self. [x]

I straightened my hair last night due to boredom. When I woke up this morning I was not feeling it, I hated my hair, it bugged me all day, I thought it looked awful. This is odd for me because when I was in highschool and after (2009-2017) I used to straighten my hair nearly every day.
I showered and I’m back to my waves and I missed them as silly as that sounds. Moral of the story:
Embrace your natural self 🩵

Telephone Man - Angel EP - more British disco rock, from Nostalgia 77 (Benedic Lamdin) and DrumTalk (Nathaniel Pearn aka Natural Self) - see also their 2006 collaboration as The Broken Keys
Telephone Man bring the joy of the Paradise Garage to the Tropic of Love with expansive 17-piece live disco EP, Angel. A coming together of close friends Nostalgia 77 aka Benedic Lamdin and DrumTalk aka Nathaniel Pearn, Telephone Man fuse the stirring arrangements and technical prowess of library music with a dance floor sensibility drawn straight from the heart of Larry Levan’s NYC. Imbued with the DNA of iconic library label KPM, the project began as an exercise in disco, written to the KPM brief, complete with the stuttering drum loops, funk guitar licks and euphoric piano breakdowns of classic Sleeping Bag and Dinosaur L recordings. Angel was then recorded live by a core group of musicians featuring Tom Herbert (bass), Jose Joyette (drums), Kishon Khan (piano), Ross Stanley (Rhodes), Anselmo Netto (percussion), Rob Updergraff (guitar) and Nathaniel Pearn (synths). They were joined at Fish Factory studio in London by vocalists Jaelee Small and Chantal Lewis Brown and an 8-piece string section arranged and conducted by Giles Thornton, in a scene that recalls the golden era of live disco, when large ensembles of the world’s best musicians would cut live arrangements for the likes of P&P Records, Prelude and Salsoul.
Your Actuality Is In This Here And Now
Paths of division via encouraging violence and hatred only work from within the settings of a Judaic Christian text. The external adversary, so heavily relied upon within Judaic Christianity to create the illusion of a conflicting enemy, is no more than an internal construction that you yourself build. From within such a relationship it is your own choices and decisions for yourself from within yourself that are of the upmost importance. Be strong. Be true. Realise and acknowledge the who and what you are from within the very core of who and what you are. Believe that you can control and that you can maintain control over what you are in this moment of living. There is no division separating you from your true self, your natural self. Be rid of the distractions and misgivings polluting your acknowledgement of this. The external negative influence of this present moment of living is not who or what you are. You.... are a separate positive energy to this polluting external one. You can learn to use the negative definition associated with this external force to help further strengthen the definition of your own positive place and function. Choose to believe in yourself. Who you internally are is a contributing and encouraging part of what your actuality is in this here and now.

On self
A rejection, or in Scripture’s strong language, a crucifixion of the natural self is the passport to everlasting life. Nothing that has not died will be resurrected.
