nouk’s dreads updo style comes in a lot of versions (DM, EM, EF, HM, HF), but each one is different, so i’ll be showcasing them individually. this one here, modeled by the realistic remake of mainar (a provings fighter from the brosca origin), features some gold accessories, making it slightly fancier than the rest. the dwarven men deserve to look good, too.

like all these styles, it’s accessible through @lliiraarabana‘s awesome Look Hair mod, downloadable here (scroll down to find the file.) once you’ve installed the hair by placing its folder in Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override, be sure to run the chargenmorph compiler to guarantee that it’ll appear in-game.

melodie 01 is another very good natural hair mod that adds cornrows to the in-game CC and toolset, for DF, EF, and EM. here, it’s modeled by the realistic remake version of elora the dalish halla-keeper. (it works with any hair color, though elora’s default color is light grey.)

dao natural hair mod previews

there’s been a lot of requests about finding natural hairstyles to use in the CC for both DAO and DA2, and while i don’t have that much to offer for DA2, i’d love to post some previews of what i’ve found for DAO. 

this is the box braids hairstyle that i actually chose to use for my realistic remake of origins isabela, hence why she’s modeling it (as she will for all the rest, too). it’s called FourTSeven and it’s available through @lliiraarabana‘s fantastic Look Hair mod, which is downloadable here - just scroll down a bit to find the file. 

like most hair mods, Look Hair is installed directly to your override folder, at C:/[user's documents]/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core. it’s very simple to use in the CC in-game - though i suggest running this tool to make sure it’ll show up right - or in the toolset morph editor, bioware’s free high-powered modding CC, as i’ve done here with isabela.

the hairstyle also comes in a variety of headband textures and colors, including with buttons attached, flower print, jeweled decorative, woven/leaf pattern, plaid, pastel satin, and scales. you can easily use these by going to your override folder, searching and deleting the 3 files named “uh_har_FTSBand”, then copying and pasting the alternative texture folder into override. feel free to send an ask if you have any installation problems.
