Here’s two new small sculptures now avail. on www.AveRoseStore.etsy.com. The first dome contains a Lace Bark Tree seed pod filled with genuine white pearls next to a stunning cluster of opal aura quartz crystals. A sprinkle of opal micro beads against the brown wooden base visually binds the two artifacts together to create a whimsical scene of nature and fantasy. The second dome contains an exquisite comet moth cocoon filled with beautiful aragonite crystal clusters. Aragonite is a stabilising stone that centres and grounds physical energies, being useful in times of stress. It helps to prepare one for meditation and stabilises spiritual development. The cocoon is a potent symbol with many layers. At one level, the cocoon is about wanting to feel comforted and safe…it’s about withdrawing from harshness and putting up walls. Naughty Nautilus is now avail. on www.AveRoseStore.etsy.com. This sculpture features a real paper nautilus with dried lavender flowers coming out of it. I wanted the lavender to feel like a creature that is having a saucy time posing as if the paper nautilus was an extravagant fainting sofa or maybe even a fancy ornate bath tub. The argonauts are a group of octopuses unlike any other. The females secrete a thin, white, brittle shell called the paper nautilus. Nestled with their arms tucked inside this beautiful, translucent home, they drift through the open ocean while other octopus species crawl along the sea floor. The shell is often described as an egg-case.
