I was nervous because our last vending event was in feb. of 2020 but this was a total success! I didn’t get a chance to take video or photos until half way through and you can see our booth is already kind of sparse when it started out jam packed full of stuff. Been thinking a lot about my dear friend who passed away July 19, 2018. Long live the legend of @jonschnepp. Jon, thank you for sharing your talents, friendship, and your deep passion for art and life! We will continue to spread your magic! This is a sculptural portrait I created of him for the amazing memorial art show that Holly @bettydrapers_fatsuit (his widow) organized for him in 2018. Originally I just wanted to make something as if he was still alive and it would be his birthday gift. I knew he’d love a demon with a badass weapon. I didn’t plan for it to be a portrait, but as the pieces started coming together, surprisingly it started to look like him. Materials: skunk vertebrae for the hips, squirrel paws for the feet, lizard claws for hands, arms, ribs, and spine are bat bones, ermine jaw for mouth, I used a piece of lizard skin for the tongue, coyote vertebrae for the head, frog vertebrate for the forked part of the weapon and sting ray barb as the sword part of the weapon. Beautiful Decay is a pair of sculptures that was commissioned in 2020. I didn’t share it at the time I made it because I was on a social media hiatus. The sculptures were based on the client’s sketch and ideas. The first video is of the first sculpture. It features a rat pup skeleton laying on pyrite with moss, California poppy buds, milkweed flowers, and mallow weed flowers growing on and around it. Preserved bees sit on the flowers. The second video is of the second sculpture. It features a rabbit skull, pink lady butterflies, and red dwarf tea tree flowers. I’ve been trying to post all day with no luck. This is my attempt at trying to post something different to see if it works. I created this rat skeleton king brooch for a client. It has genuine garnet gemstone eyes and comes with a special display. I apologize for posting this so late today. My daughter turns 24 tomorrow so I’ve been juggling a ton. This magnificent ring features a preserved baby chameleon with sparkling amethyst eyes holding a quartz crystal in its paw. 2. Devil’s Cloud features rutilated quartz and hematite with a ruby adorned snake vertebrae. The hematite, quartz, and rutile together creates a scene of a dark cloud in a white sky with sun bursts coming from it. The devil on the cloud is the neck vertebrae from a snake. I always thought these looked like one-eyed devils, so I gave this devil a ruby eye and made it ride the cloud. 3. Interstellar Compass features a piece of Seymchan Meteorite with Mozambique garnet & green tourmaline crystals. These little treasures symbolize the sacred connection between the universe (Meteorite), the earth (green tourmaline) and the fire of human heart (African garnet) 4.This alluring ring features a stunning dogbane beetle with a genuine piece of raw emerald surrounded by golden caviar beads. Beetles represent hard work, progress, and success because of their devotion to their goals.
