Officially one month married 💍💕 I have to say we got LUCKY to have our wedding when we did… before a good chunk of California went up in flames 🔥❤️ It may not have been the big wedding we had originally planned with all our friends and family, but I feel so much gratitude to have been able to marry my best friend on our 8 year anniversary. It was the perfect day, in such a gorgeous area, officiated by the best sister ever, and I felt like an absolute princess all day long. My fairy tale came true 🦄👸 Here’s to many, mannnnny more months together 🥰
Things I have learned from marrying 💍 my best friend: 💕 trust your gut instinct about people. 💕 long distance is HARD - but it’s worth it with the right person. 💕love languages are IMPORTANT! Know what yours are and let your partner know too. 💕 learn to be on your own and make yourself happy first. Your happiness is never your partner’s responsibility. 💕 opposites CAN attract, but it really helps to have interests and values in common. 💕 if you’re able to work 50 hour wildlife rehabilitation work weeks together, and still want to spend time together at home… it’s meant to be. 💕 if you have survived quarantine together… it’s DEFINITELY meant to be!! still over the moon about being a Mrs. with him 🥰
gotta admit… seeing “Mr. & Mrs.” on our mail gives me major butterflies/goosies every time 🦋🦢 If I could describe marriage I would say it’s like reaching a new level of a video game. It is still the same game, you still have the same goals, but everything is a bit more shiny 💍 and new 😍 It’s amazing to know it’s gonna be me & my best friend for the rest of forever. and hopefully a crapload of animals along the way 🐶🐱🐶🐱🐰🐹🐸🐒🦉🦆🐍🦃🦒🐘🦄 picture credit @will_sundquist

What a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in this world.” 💕 Crazy how I can bust my butt all day, and that one smile on someone’s face makes it ALLLL worth it! Sometimes just knowing we’ve made a difference is what it’s all about, right?? 🌎✨ Sprinkling joy like we’re some badass fairy godmothers 🧚💪 I know it sure means the world to me when someone does something nice for me.
