oooh how lovely! the most common phrases huh… it’s honestly a super hard question to answer. i guess i can name some situations to devide it up a bit?
for greeting people: so the official word for hello is hej, but i usually say hejhej, hallå/hallou (hallou is not even a word you’d find in the dictionary i just say it because it sounds nice) or tjena if i’m not in a formal situation. then if we’re doing small talk, i’ll say something like “hur är läget?” (lit. how is the status/situation but is used in casual situations)
for more small talk, telling a story and reacting to someone else’s: hur mår du - how are you doing/feelingdet är bra/jag mår bra, själv? - i’m fine, you?jag hörde en grej… - i heard (about) something/a thing… näe, på riktigt? - no way!/for real?du skojar - you’re kiddingär du seriös? - are you serious?gud vad coolt! - that’s so cool (lit. god how cool)vad tråkigt/trist - how sad/unfortunatevad roligt! - how nice! (roligt usually means funny, but like if something good happend you’d say it too)
for asking for something:kan du… - can/could you är du snäll och… - pleasevill du vara vänlig och - would you be so kind andär du gullig och - lit. are you cute andfår jag? - may i?kan jag få - can i have thege mig/skicka mig - give me/pass me/send metack - used for both please and thank you. we don’t really have an exact translation for please tbh
random:du är inte klok - you’re crazy, lit. you’re not wisedriver du med mig? - are you mocking me?fan vad härligt/nice/bra - ok so fan is a curse word but here it’s just used for emphasis tbh? and härligt/nice/bra just means lovely, nice, good, any positive word basically
