MY NAZCA ART: THE SPIDER - Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Here is a piece I did a few years back (“Arana” - 2015 20X16) as part of a series (10) demonstrating some of the ancient geoglyphs on the Plains of Nazca, Peru. (Forgive the appropriate cobwebs from years of storage!) Acrylic on canvas with yarn glued to surface for relief (actual lines utilize removal). The lines of the real geoglyphs are over a foot wide. The possibly 2000 year-old lines were discovered, in modern times, after the invention of flight and as viewed from the air. Likely ritual in nature, some have postulated an Alien Influence.
