ooooh jehantaire is one of my guilty pleasures, like as much as i love exr, these two hold a special place in my heart (also jetaire autocorrects on my phone to je t’aime so it’s canon)

as i’ve said before, Grantaire gives zero shits when it comes to their gender. they have and will wear their stubble proudly while walking around in a skirt or dress

Jehan also uses they/them pronouns unless they specify otherwise. they struggled for a long time on their gender before accepting it as a fluid thing and just going with the flow

once, jehan convinced R to grow out their beard and Jehan stuck flowers into the messy hair

grantaire always leaves little fingerprints in paint when Jehan leaves the house. Jehan never washes it off and its always careful to keep it on their hand until they get home

their house is a mess. jehan goes through many outfits before settling on one in the morning and the moment R gets home, they just shed their clothes in random rooms, so the entire house is a tripping hazard

there is a wall dedicated to throwing paint at it when stressed, there are some flower petals in the paint as well

jehan once knit grantaire a blanket and it’s now sitting in the living room for cuddle sessions

(a personal favorite headcanon for me) jehan helped grantaire become sober, and r thanks them for that everyday

there is a debate going on in their house on whether coffee or tea is better

both love canon nonbinary characters and jehan totally dressed as Alex Fierro for halloween one time

grantaire is probably the only person to come close to having as messy of a fashion sense as jehan

i’m glad you asked cause I shit you not, i had a dream about this recently! (nb grantaire btw)

Grantaire is very big on destroying gender rolls, but when Ferre feels dysphoric, all that shit is out the window. If Combeferre wants to do all the typically manly things, he can

this means the two of them walking around in boxers. only boxers. Combeferre sometimes wears a shirt, but normally he wears a binder with his boxers 

Grantaire goes overboard with the nicknames. for example: “Hey baby boy, you want some food?” “mcmanly, what movie do you wanna watch?” “how’s the most handsome man on planet earth doing’

Combeferre doesn’t feel like he has a low enough voice, so Grantaire keeps his voice as high as he can to put it in comparison

The two of them go out an get hair cuts, it’s really therapeutic and helps Ferre feel more masculine

Grantaire shaves their beard because Ferre struggles to grow one so they show him you don’t need a beard

they also wear a lot of feminine things to put ferre’s masculinity in contrast

Grantaire makes sure that Ferre binds safely, and gives him extra attention when he has to take the binder off

they try to distract ferre with movies and just fun things to keep his mind off of it

at the end of the day, Grantaire cuddles up to their boyfriend and holds his boyfriend in his arms as they fall asleep

I love all the trans amis headcanons you do and I was wondering if you could write some genderflux Grantaire headcanons for me. I'm genderflux so it'd mean a lot to me.

oh but of course! i completely understand wanting to see yourself in a character, there’s a reason why trans!enjolras is a common occurance

R is really proud of being genderflux, they don’t care that some people don’t consider it a real identity, they just exist and that’s enough for them

they use they/them pronouns instead of he/him, because they only feel completely masculine a small percent of the time

grantaire is very open about their nonbinaryness, and they’re the one most of the amis turn to when they need help because R has done a lot of research while trying to find out who they are

they deck themself out when pride comes along, they want to show any genderflux people in the closet that it’s ok

they once got into a huge argument with enjolras about gender identities and how they are portrayed in the media, both had valid points and because they couldn’t agree completely, they didn’t talk for about a week until they agreed to just drop it

grantaire, the god of makeup, loves to wear makeup when they’re not feeling as masculine

they have a scruffy beard and only shave it when they don’t feel masculine at all

they have longer hair, but it’s normally in their beanie

they’re the first of their friends to come out as nonbinary because grantaire doesn’t give a single fuck

yay genderflux R! i adore nb!R a lot, no matter what nb identity, and this one really fits them.

I’m so sorry for the late response! I’ve been really out of it the last few days! And I haven’t done any Combetaire so let’s go!

Combeferre doesn’t really talk much about his gender, mainly because he just wants to be seen as a guy, but he is very willing to educate people about what it’s like to be trans

Grantaire is much more open about the fact that they really don’t care about their gender, and they haven’t figured out a way to describe it other than *shrugs*

They really start liking Ferre because of the way he just knows himself. Like, R is just amazed by him

Ferre starts liking R back when they stand up for someone who doesn’t exactly pass, but, as R yelled at the transphobe, that doesn’t matter

The two of them are dancing around each other and everyone knows it and are really done with it

no one pushes them together, they actually work it out on their own

Combeferre was explaining safe ways to bind and the boy had asked if they were together

they blushed and said no, but the boy told them they should be

grantaire asks combeferre out and ferre obviously says yes

they open a shop for transgender teens who aren’t out to their parents to help them get supplies they need

it’s all decorated in R’s art

ferre and r are really happy being able to express themselves the way they want to and they’re happy and oh i love them

of course I do!!!! nb!feuilly is wonderful! 

Feuilly is bigender and switches between demiboy and demigirl. For the most part, they use they/them pronouns, occasionally using he/him or she/her.

They have bright orange hair, shoulder length. It’s really curly so it looks shorter. They have an androgynous face so they don’t get misgendered often. They feel really sad whenever R or Jehan gets misgendered.

They are so dramatic omg. Like remember how they brought a fucking sword to the barricade? Yeah that’s a part of their everyday life. I swear, they want to bring said sword whenever someone makes fun of nb people.

They straighten their hair when they feel like a demigirl. They look adorable btw.

Feuilly was 20 when they realized their genders, after a few years of knowing Enjolras. Speaking of Enj, he was the first person Feuilly texted when he realized it. It was 3 am and Enjolras was still awake and he stayed up the entire night planning a party with Combeferre and Courfeyrac (who he woke up) for Feuilly.
