i do write fics, yeah!! my husband @chloebeale and i think @rosadiaznypd started something for nb beca a while ago (i can certainly try but i haven’t been writing lately so it might take some time)

LETS TALK ABOUT YOUTUBER AU

who wants some soft bemily! 

theyre very determined to make long distance work before beca can move in w emily (becs and stace live in new york, chaubrey and emily live in atlanta) 

beca was hesitant at first because they dont know how long it will be before they can move in (theyre soft uhaul gays ok...) and theyre like ugh it SUCKS being away from em but this is their first like real relationship and theyre like “omg are we moving too fast? is this too much??”

but stacie is like “hey loser, you can totally move in with her like fairly soon. flo can move into here and take over the other half of the rent. its no big deal. get your girl.” 

beca is very excited and tells emily immediately and of course emily is over the moon excited and already making plans 

but anyway they have a good few months before beca will be able to manage the move and during that time, they visit each other as often as they can (usually, emily ends up flying to beca) 

emily and beca sending each other little presents! beca is bad at getting emily presents usually and its something random but sometimes they get emily something really nice like a cute plush or a nice bracelet 

they take each others clothes when they visit 

emily will wear one of beca’s hoodies in a video and people will be commenting “omg beca wears that all the time in stacie’s vlogs!!” and the same goes for when beca takes emily’s clothes (they really love emily’s big knitted sweaters) 

bemily skyping and emily falling asleep on skype because its like 2am and beca taking a screenshot and cute sleepy emily is their lockscreen

emily’s lockscreen is her and beca getting ice cream, stacie took the picture and beca is trying to look grumpy because they hate photos but they cant help smiling because emily is kissing their cheek 

beca is an awkward gay mess around emily but emily is just 100% heart eyes all the time and will just fucking stare at beca for hours 

beca calls emily “emward cullen” when she does this but beca is not so subtly blushing because they cant believe this sunshine human is so obsessed with them

bemily’s first i love you happens during one of those moments

beca is working on a new mix and emily is staring at them like they hang the stars in the sky (as usual) and just goes “hey. i love you.” 

and beca is completely hyperfocused (my adhd baby) and just goes “mhmm yeah okay.” 

emily rolls her eyes bc she’s used to beca not really listening when theyre working but then suddenly beca’s brain processes what emily said and theyre like “wait! oh! okay!!” and is all blushy and gives emily an awkward goofy grin and says “i love you too, dude”

Dude i will take literally anytjing u have to offer abt youtuber au and/or nb beca. Do they get into the gym/tryna bulk up or accept theyll always be tiny to some degree?

i think that in YTau that beca would maybe try to bulk up at least a little bit, probably with lots of help from stacie. 

but like honestly? theyre a lazy bitch and likes junk food too much and has trouble getting the figure they were initially going for and they’re very kind of :( about it and kind of give up 

they probably had this very idealized like “oh im going to get more muscular and bulky and not look like a tiny baby anymore” and like to a degree they were able to get some muscle but they still small in general and it makes them sad

stacie still drags them to the gym occasionally, but it’s not on a regular basis at all. like, it’s enough to stay pretty healthy given all of the crap they eat 

stacie also insists on trying to get them to eat healthier because “beca youre going to die if you only eat ramen and cheetos.”

they have a little bit of a tummy chub as a result and theyve kind of accepted it 

emily never really says too much on the topic of it because she knows its a difficult subject for beca sometimes and beca appreciates that emily doesnt push too hard 

but emily also just loves kissing beca’s tummy and tracing little circles on it when shes spooning them and beca is like “okay this. this is good.”

I volunteer as tribute to talk about YouTuber au nb beca

stacie helps beca explore their gender identity and sexuality and she’s a huge part of beca’s life for this reason

(they totally did the ‘okay well i dont know if i like girls’ ‘okay then kiss me and see if you like it’ at some point) 

after graduating high school, beca tried to come out to their dad, with stacie’s support and encouragement (stacie never pushed/pushes beca to come out when they dont feel comfortable; beca really wanted this to happen)

unfortunately, it doesnt go well

with a combination of beca coming out as nonbinary and bi, their dad effectively tells them either 1) say its a phase and dont speak of it or 2) move out

he also is convinced that stacie’s influenced beca’s sexuality somehow because stacie is very much out as bi and isnt shy about talking about her various girlfriends/boyfriends around everyone 

beca is like ‘okay fine im moving out then’ 

they go to live with their mom for a while, who is as supportive as she can be but also struggles to support both her and beca now 

beca finds odd jobs around town, lots of DJing at parties and weddings and working at a music store to try to get enough money so they can support themselves and not have to rely on their mom for much longer 

their dad also refuses to help beca go to college, to which beca is like ‘whatever, you were the only one who wanted me to go anyway ill make it on my own’ 

beca eventually gets a steady job that allows her enough money to split rent with stacie in a tiny apartment 

stacie is super protective of beca, always kind of analyzing people to see if beca would be safe coming out to them or not so beca doesnt have to go through any more rough coming outs than they have to

beca is mostly out to everyone they know, or at least the people who matter 

beca gets very nervous that emily will be hesitant to date someone who is nonbinary, but emily reassures beca that it doesnt matter to her because beca is the most amazing person she’s ever met 

(beca’s gets all mushy and embarrassed after that)

i have a few!! since i havent rlly…created a specific au with nb beca yet im gonna go with Totally Canon NB Beca Stuff because i cant believe Beca Is NB In Canon! 

((also im trying not to step on cole’s toes w this since it originated on His blog so if you HAVEN’T seen cole’s nb au  pls go give him some love))

beca discovered they were nonbinary sometime during high school but didnt come out to anyone until college 

they tried out a lot of pronouns before finally feeling right with they/them 

beca first came out to the bellas in the scene where they all talk about their Feelings in pp1 

all of them were extremely supportive (if a little….overwhelming and asking a lot of questions) 

chloe and cynthia rose are very helpful in kind of filtering the bellas endless questions 

i want!! a supportive bellas shopping trip !!!! helping beca pick out some new clothes!! (maybe not like All the bellas but i think def like… chloe, CR, stacie, jessica and mayybe aubrey) 

beca was kind of really worried about being kicked out of the bellas, but aubrey and chloe both assured her that as long as they were comfortable being in a “all girl group” then beca is more than welcome to still call themselves a bella 

(beca might end up changing that wording of “all girl group” when they’re captain!)

 i REALLY want beca to get a nb pride tattoo of some sort 

they tend to wear baggier clothing for a while, lots of hoodies and big flannels and baggy tshirts, but after they get their first binder they feel beautiful and handsome in button ups and other slimmer fitting stuff 

beca totally experiments with different hairstyles for a few years, fluctuating between longer and pixie cuts and everything in between 

they probably like having an undercut the most and stick with that for a while 

beca basically exclusively wears boxers 

beca being insecure about their voice being too high for years but once they start singing with the bellas they progressively become comfortable with their voice !! and the bellas telling them that their voice is amazing and beca should be proud of it !! 

the bellas love beca so much and want to support them in their weird, overbearing, loud way

some nb people’s pronouns are she/her or he/him so really you could also have nb beca in-canon because beca uses she/her in the film!

you’re absolutely fucking right and you should say it
