Does anyone remember the NBC TV series “Awake” starring Jason Isaacs and Dylan Minnette? What a hell of a concept. That so needs to be done once more!!!

Just finished Awake. Wow, this show is insane. I can't believe it was canceled. Jason Isaacs was amazing as detective Michael Britten. In the beginning I wanted to know which reality was real and which was a dream but as the story progressed it didn't matter anymore. What was important was a man's determination to keep his family alive at any cost. Hands down the most memorable quote:

So if you're telling me that the price of seeing them, feeling them, of having them in my life is my sanity that's a price I will happily pay.

Awake is giving me such Hannibal S1 vibes, more accurately the second part ot the season vibes. I'm constantly questioning which world Michael is living in is the real one and this gives me such anxiety. I felt the same amount of anxiety while watching Will slowly lose his mind to encephalitis and it's amazing how both shows can make the viewer experience the same emotions as the MC. Also, I'm starting to think Michael is not awake at all, that he is in coma and it's all in his head. Hopefully, his wife and kid are both alive in some third world, third reality.

What's with NBC picking up and airing the best tv series and then canceling them? Just started watching Awake from 2012 starring Jason Isaacs. Gosh, this show is brilliant. Complex, fast-paced and touching. Needless to say, Jason Isaacs is a remarkable actor. Also, the first episode is directed by David Slade so when I saw the credits my little cannibal heart skipped a beat.

literally me trying to figure out which reality was the real reality in awake like i was CRACKDT  - there’s a red wall, so its the red reality, oh look the lighting symbolizes the sun aka being awake . ITS REAL ITS A SUPERIOR TV SHOW IM LITERALLY NEVER GONNA NOT BE BITTER i was honestly SHOOK at the plot twists every episode like HUH? WHO? OK?

im so pissed that NBC’s Awake got cancelled. the concept? completely original. the plot? ICONIC. The directing? legendary. a superior tv show that lasted one season because OF FUCKING SHITTY RATINGS

I was so pissed when Awake got canceled, and Prime Suspect before that. It makes me hesitate to get into Crisis in case NBC fucks up again.

For a long time I thought I was the only one who like Prime Suspect, or Awake. Personally Awake started out so well and went down hill, but in both cases NBC ended it before it had a chance. I couldn't understand how these two shows were cancelled and it also scared me about Crisis. They both have/had very talented casts, plenty of action and advertising. But if we look at it from the viewpoint of Time slots, Crisis is in a good slot because the only thing challenging it at Sunday 10/9pm is Mad Men, and that's Cable. Everybody Loved Prime Suspect (look at the reviews) but it was placed up against The Mentalist at Thursday 10/9pm, plus it was also in the "Must-See TV", basically dooming it from the start. Same thing with Awake, even though I personally was disappointed by how it developed.

I think Crisis is safe though because it's mostly maintaining its viewership and it has alot more potential then the other two. Another thing: Crisis halted production to actually assess where the show was going and how to go from there, not just continously and pointlessly going.
