Speed up your pace We are walking way too slowly We're not running from anything But there's always something that could hold me Are we looking for a hiding place? Or are we looking for our better days? We're running now With fear in our eyes That the Emperors could be beaten down Because it seems there's always a high price Are we trying to leave our roots behind Or are we trying to become one of a kind?
Brotherhood
Four walls are way too restrictive To us Just a narrow space where to live But not grow We need the endless sky We need the green grass We need the dark night Crowded with stars We need to get out And see what we've missed Because you can find poetry and beauty In an empty wall But after a few times, the inspiration will fall And you'll have to take the ashes out So that they can reload.
"House couldn't hold us"
Something inside of me suddenly breaks. And in a moment the landscape in my head, The breathtaking picture of a flourishing garden Colourful, overwhelmingly scented Home for my positive thoughts and my joys Peaceful and healing, Is devastated. The flood coming from my heart Turns it into a rough sea Determined to take control on everything that comes in its way Transforming the place in a dangerous trap. And on the outside, this excess vents from a few tears Falling from my eyes.
This sunset warms my heart. I imagine the Sun slowly giving up his daily task, Weary but content, Showing up his best colors Which he left for the end In a last flash of strenght. Now I am the Sun. When I close the door behind me, Leave my bag on the floor, I look out of the window And I see another day is done. But I did my best. I've shined my brightest light. Have I fulfilled my aim? Have I shed light on the best part of me? And made people take something good out of it? If the answer is 'yes' then I can enjoy the night And leave the day behind.
sunset
stomach acid battery acid it's all the same
you can keep a clock on your bedside table
but that's not going to stop you from waking up in the middle of the night
sleep paralysis arms and thundering heart
i like to get my friends to hold my hand
otherwise i'll forget i'm real
did you know that no matter how hard i've tried i still haven't broken my finger?
Longing for a feeling of satisfaction
sometimes i try so hard to get there i miss it entirely
i land in a place on the outskirts of town
my knee bleeding and my bike tire spinning
think of the ghosts that swim beneath the lake water
once a year we take our boats out and drop gifts in for them
i missed it this year, like i miss most things
i think i'm insatiable, will never be fully filled
get someone to stand between your ankles and it still feels like nothing
i'd cry but that's not me
not anymore that is
i used to be a never ending faucet and now i'm an empty well
i'm eating from the palm of your hand, putting on the act
my teeth are sharp, don't think i won't bite
you'll never fill me
father drink the dead man's water
bury your face in it, scream into it
sun's coming out tonight
let it hit the rocks i keep on my shelf
camera snapshot, the virgin mary
camera snapshot, sacrificial rabbit
stillborn baby- that should've been me
past lover bought me a crystal
i'm inhaling the water
i am the water
grandma got me a box of glass candy
it made my gums bleed
pink and reds, those were the baby's eyes
she leaves a lipstick stained mug in my room
rose quartz to keep the ghosts away
my uncles were hoarders
they lived until their house consumed them
perfect knife
shapes like gasoline in a puddle
colours the same
live and let die
ink drilled in leaving perfect puncture wounds
my mom didn't cry when she saw me
fill a tooth up with black
saw it in half
let the ghost into your body
scream for the crowd
cry and demand that this is the moment
that you have been waiting for all
your life
if i blew glass i would end up crumbling
my dust would fill it up like
a dirty lung
and no matter how hard it dilated it
wouldn't be able to get me out
how far can you stretch the bones on your hand
before they pop apart
i'm not the grotesque kind i promise
think about lines going down your chin
indications that you are a good mother
drooling wine down your chin
you sleep heavily
i don't know if we could ever wake you up
i don't know if we want to
orange peels to practice
rubber skin to try again
now it's time for the real deal
