nothing can describe how proud i am of this uconn team like actually.

so what we lost 5 players? so what our bench is only 3 deep? foul trouble early in the game with our starters? no problem.

i was actually shaking that whole game and i’m in tears rn😭😭

no matter what happens in the final four i am so proud and amazed at everything they do and i’ve never been prouder to be a uconn fan💙💙

So proud that UCONN continues to be one of the best in college basketball! They should continue to put lots of funding into the team despite all the budget cuts, and we will still happily cut the amount of money they get from us. You know what, they should also increase their tuition by another 20k while they're at it.

i will never understand the hate hailey van lith is getting right now.

yes her defense and overall performance was bad and it definitely had an impact on lsu losing, but there’s no reason for her to be getting dragged like this.

everybody is suddenly forgetting how AMAZING of a player she is, and one bad season/game isn’t going to ‘ruin her basketball career’.

i will say this though, i wish she would’ve stayed at louisville. i can see why she transferred to lsu, but just because they won a national championship doesn’t mean you should drop everything and go to them. and i know there were probably a ton of other reasons for her to enter the portal and go there, but still. she was amazing at louisville and even though they weren’t winning championships and stuff (she did carry them to the final four though) she was still their star player and had such an impressive career there.

on another note though, all this attention is so good for the women’s basketball world but i’ll talk about that on another post.

either way, i just feel really bad for her and hope she isn’t taking all this negative attention to heart. i really love and admire her and she’s one of my favorite players so i truly hope she continues playing (especially in college).

who in their right mind calls a moving screen in the final four with 3 seconds left and the team down by one…

that ref actually needs to be fired.

yes, aaliyah’s screen was a foul, but why call it?? on nearly every possession d1 or not, there is going to be a moving screen. sometimes they get called and sometimes they don’t. and i wouldn’t care if it got called at any other point of the game, but then? really???

not to mention that the refs were calling soo many fouls on UConn and barely any on Iowa. i genuinely believe that this game was rigged just so that caitlin clark could be in the championship game and get the ncaa views. and the fact that so many other people are posting about it and talking about it, especially big names in basketball, just proves my point even more.

and my heart actually broke for aaliyah. the fact that that was the end to her amazing career, nika too, is just awful.

we need to get better refs for the women’s game, and let the players play and decide the outcome of their own games.

actually so disappointed and angry right now.
