The Undefeated Teams in Small College Basketball
As I type this on Monday morning, January 13, 2025, there are only six undefeated teams in all of college basketball at the small college levels.
In NCAA Division II, Washburn (15-0) and Daemen (14-0) remain as the only undefeated teams left.
In NCAA Division III, Wesleyan (16-0) and New York University (12-0) are the only undefeated teams left.
In the NAIA, Georgetown (17-0) and Northwestern, IA, (17-0) are the final remaining undefeated teams.
Out of roughly 1,100 - 1,200 schools that play men's college basketball at the various small college levels (NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, NAIA, NCCAA), there are only six that remain undefeated, so a big congratulations to Washburn, Daemen, Georgetown, NYU, Wesleyan and Northwestern.
Watch the State of Small College Basketball Address, by Small College Basketball Founder John McCarthy.
Congrats to Jalen Brinson of Columbia International University.
The NCCAA Division I Tournament Bracket is set, and the games begin on Wednesday at Grace in Winona Lake, IN.
