#tbt to 2001. This was the summer that changed my life in ways I could not imagine. Governor's School East- Mathematics at Meredith College, Raleigh NC The best 6 weeks of my life. I still am in contact with a couple #ncgse folks. I wish I was in contact with more... and I wish I had taken more pictures.

Sometimes I want to just curl up in a ball and cry because I'm not at Governor's School anymore. And then I feel lame because I feel like everyone else has moved on and I don't think I ever will.

one week ago, I left governor's school

I was so lucky to go play with an ensemble of such talented, passionate people and study with fabulous mister-julliard-bassoon-god and I'm a better person and player now because of it

also I'm considering going for a music major now so that's terrifying

but I can't wait to share everything I learned with my band at school and my youth orchestra even if it'll be torture playing with asshats that don't give a damn about playing 

I can't wait for all state sigh

Just got back from the greatest 5 weeks of my life. North Carolina's Governor's School East.

Feeling nostalgic on the eve of the Gov School Reunion

And I'm simultaneously hating and adoring all the current GSE kids for simply existing.
