So I've heard some nasty rumors about Yelp in the past. Allegedly, they look for poorly reviewed restaurants, badger them to advertise on the site and when the restaurants cave, suddenly their ratings improve.
A restaurant in CA claims to be a victim of this and when they stopped paying, the negative reviews came flooding back. So they now are on a mission to be the worst ranked restaurant in the Bay Area. For a good laugh, check out some the reviews so far...
NSN's Comic Book Chronicles (#2) There has been a lot of progress in the comic selling process. I spoke to several dealers at Heroes' Con in Charlotte who all said basically the same thing. to email them a list of what I had. So I sat down and made a list of all of the books I was looking to sell. most of the books are from the late 80s and early 90s. There are very random books in the collection. Things like Alf, the Nam, and The Spirit. The books I was most excited to find were some 'Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos' from the 60s. I priced all of the books from a free online price guide, just to get a rough idea of how much I could get for everything. I sent my list out to several comic book shops, some local and some in other states. At this time, I have only received a response from one shop, my local comic book store, Acme Comics. They are only interested in one set though. Alf. That's right. They only want my Alf comics. Today, I will (hopefully) be selling about 25 comics based on the cat eating extraterrestrial. according to the little research I have done, I think I can get $20 for the whole lot of them. I am hoping that the near mint issue #1 will help me make a little more... I am hopeful but doubtful. More updates to follow!
Tile has official made it possible to never lose anything ever again! It even offers away to mark items as lost, then other folks with the app can help you locate your item. This is handy in case anything is stolen! unless of course the person just gets rid of the tile... hmmmm Still a really awesome product!
Here's a new PS4 commercial highlighting the interface and a lot of the cool features that were revealed at E3 including the background download and the app interaction.
