I originally sorted him into Gryffindor but I forgot what a squish he is with animals
NCT wouldn’t exist without him
not in a “they’d be a messy leaderless group” way but literally they would all be dead if he didn’t feed them and do headcounts dreamies and Lucas I’m talking about you
first of the four “parent line” members
considerate and helpful to others despite the stresses of being leader
responsible and reliable
he has 17 members to care for yet he seems to have a close connection with every. single. person.
his onstage persona is more of a Gryffindor
gives off an arrogant or superior air like some Gryffindors, but that’s all his stage act
boy is FIERCE, playful, and the definition of charismatic
could be why he gets hate but clearly antis don’t see the softy he really is
dabble of Ravenclaw with his hyper-organization, perfectionism, and germaphobia
Taeil
SM’s underappreciated vocal king

but for different reasons than Taeyong
hardworking but doesn’t seem to crave attention like the other Houses
always described as a “reliable hyung”
can be passive, willing to overlook others’ mistakes for the sake of harmony and happiness
this boy suffers so many jokes in 127 help him
or don’t, like a true Hufflepuff I don’t think he minds self-sacrificing to please others
when he does express himself you know it’s genuine, he doesn’t play games when it comes to his opinions and feelings
like literally all of NCT he has a dabble of Gryffindor
he’s a playful goof
yes they’re all crackheads even quiet Taeil
interestingly I thought he’s got a little Slytherin too
he adapts quietly to new situations, particularly in variety shows
he can read the room and knows when to use the energy he has
lest we forget cheerleader Taeil in NCT Life
Youngho (Johnny)
I cried when SM finally released him from the dungeon
SLYTHERIN
I mean you have to be adaptive and loyal to survive almost a decade in SM
one of, if not the best member at solo activities
he was an MC before he debuted like whaat
a genuine sweetheart and goofball
not only does he say what he thinks/feels, but his whole body reacts
you’d know exactly where you stood with him (though he’d be a little more gentle than the rough Slytherin stereotype)
second member of “parent line”
if you come for one of his sons (NCT Dream) he will fight you
in the most dramatic way possible, because he’s a diva
surprisingly he could have been Ravenclaw
he’s intelligent and seems logical
idk he seems like someone to rationalize things before doing them, even if those things make no sense
certainly creative, how else do you explain his crackhead behaviour
I also love his sense of humour, he’s witty yet ridiculous like how can someone be so smart and so adorably dumb
he’s got some of Gryffindor’s boldness and leadership skills as well, but he’s too rational for brash Gryffindor
