Personalizing the Notre Dame Bible
The University of Notre Dame is one of the most well-known and respected Catholic institutions of higher learning in the United States. While there are many important aspects of the Notre Dame experience, the spiritual aspect is one that is central. As a reflection of this, one of the most common graduation gifts is the Notre Dame Bible. The beautiful leather bound edition is embossed with the school seal on its cover, and is a treasured Notre Dame tradition.
During Commencement Weekend, the Bookstore team wheels the Bible stamping machine out to the sales floor to personalize Notre Dame Bibles for new graduates. Gold foil is carefully stamped into the leather cover of the Bible in a process that has been perfected by only a select few members of the Bookstore team.
