Got to do some work on the great Prevenge movie in Cardiff this month - it was lovely to re-connect with people I’ve not seen or worked with in a while, but also great to check out this funny script by Alice Lowe.

RESPONSE TO PLACE EXHIBITION IN SWANSEA
MYPTsplace (Handmade paper and engraved glass)
I believe that space is a non-place, a shared environment in which places can come to exist, while a place is a point within space affected by human interaction and the attachments we make to it. To create a sense of my chosen place (my hometown) I have depicted three public spaces that harbour strong memories for me. In this work, the memories become the main focus while the pictorial representations hover subtly above, almost fading into nothingness but managing to coexist. The depth of the frames exposes the liminal spaces between the two.

OH-TOTORO’s SECOND GIVEAWAY
I’m not sure what this giveaway is celebrating, I just wanted to show my appreciation of all the support that my blog gets, and give a little something back. As I’m sure most of you are aware, I was recently in Paris for the ‘Dessins du Studio Ghibli‘ exhibition at Le Musee Art Ludique, and while I was there I picked up this exclusive artbook that features nearly 500 glossy pages crammed full of exquisite layouts from every Studio Ghibli film from ‘Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind’ to ‘When Marnie was There’, and also many Shorts and important pre-Ghibli works by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Anyway, this is your chance to win it and spend many a night entranced within it. You will receive a brand new, sealed/unopened copy. The photos are of the copy I bought for myself.
HOW TO ENTER:
You must be following oh-totoro - As I want the prize to go to one of my followers.
You must reblog this post. - Each rebog counts as an entry. Maximum of one a day. No spam!
A photo of the winner and their prize would be greatly appreciated so I can reblog it to oh-totoro, but this is not a requirement.
DATE OF DRAW:
Wednesday 22nd April 2015 (and will be announced a week later) I will contact the winner on this date and give them 48 hours to respond to my ask/message. If I don’t receive a response in that period, I will redraw. This will also be the case if asks are not enabled. Make sure your asks are enabled.
WHO CAN ENTER:
Anybody can enter. I will post to any country. So don’t miss out! Good luck! ^___^ xox
*YAY* - exhibition branding has finally been selected & confirmed :) (excuse the crappy phone photos of low res test prints)
Another sneaky peak from the exhibition catalogue preparations - group photo :3 some BIG thanks to our lovely photographer Toril Sunde Apelthun (www.torilapelthun.com)
