three. /// Tramp by Otis Redding & Carla Thomas, be honest it goes ridiculously still, it is hard to stand still during this song. His grandpa played it all the time when he was a kid, it has sentimental value. He particularly likes to mouth Otis Redding’s lines.

two. /// You’re Gonna Miss Me by 13th Floor Elevators, this song makes him proud to be a rhythm guitarist and also made him want to learn to play bass. Finding a copy of The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators at a yard sale when he was 11 was what drew him away from traditional rock and towards hard rock, acid rock and psychedelic.

one. /// Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, he is playing air guitar, screaming along, headbanging, jumping around in there. Really the only song that has that effect on him. He tries to only listen to it when his father isn’t home because he puts it on full volume and it rattles the windowpanes.

Siblings. What were they actually good for? Nothing at all except for getting under your skin and pestering the life out of you bit by bit— Erica the prime example of that, proving it time and time again with her endless sarcasm and prodding throughout the years. As much as she liked to claim that her wit was charming.. Lucas would beg to differ.

Having lost his very first game with the Hawkins Tigers, one may have thought that Erica would’ve given him a break for one day. Wrong. Not only did he have to deal with the repercussions of missing a shot that could’ve been the changing point in sealing a victory, and then their coach screaming at him afterwards with a promised demotion to ‘benchwarmer’ as he’d so kindly put it to him.. the cherry on top of an already chaotic shitshow of a game just had to be his little sister pointing out his flaws and goading him the minute they set foot in their house like the ever consistent pain in the ass she was in his daily life. Perfect!

As the saying went.. there was no rest for the wicked.

‘You didn’t even stop to think for one second, did you?’ And there it was. The final straw that had Lucas throwing down his duffle bag beside the couch and whirling around to peer at her through narrowed eyes. “Oh my God. Erica! Can. You Shut. Up!?” Clapping in her face between each word for dramatic effect, Lucas finally threw himself down onto the cushions to dramatically cover his face with his hands.

Could she get anymore irritating if she possibly tried?

“Ugh, you’re actually the most annoying person I’ve ever met..” And that was saying something considering he knew Michael Wheeler. Saying that though, and not that he’d ever admit it aloud to pamper Erica’s already ever growing ego, but.. bickering with her always did manage to take his mind off whatever else was going on in his life. Whether it was yet another breakup with Max or an entire day spent chasing otherworldly creatures with the party.. Erica sure did have a way of getting his mind off the bad. Okay, so maybe she wasn’t the menace he liked to claim that she was.

With an irked sigh, Lucas peeked out between his fingers at her and quirked an inquisitive brow upon noting that she was still there staring right back at him. “Why are you still here? Do you wanna picture?” Sticking out his tongue childishly, Lucas found himself stifling a chuckle at her reaction.

            halloween   isn't   exactly   steve's   favorite   time   of   the   year.   it   used   to   be,   back   when   he   was   a   kid   and   could   run   around   collecting   candy   unsupervised   with   his   friends   —   but   then   he   reached   high   school   and   suddenly   trick   or   treating   wasn't   cool   anymore.   instead,   he'd   stock   up   on   bags   of   candy   months   before   the   holiday   and   stash   them   in   his   room   so   he'd   forget   what   he   bought.   that   way,   when   he   inevitably   returned   from   whatever   party   he'd   be   obligated   to   attend   on   halloween   night,   he   could   stumble   back   home,   drunk   and   hungry,   and   f   e   a   s   t   on   all   the   treats   he'd   purchased.   the   tradition   ended   when   he   met   nancy,   because   she   didn't   care   what   was   cool,   and   suddenly   steve   didn't   have   to   hide   all   these   parts   of   him.   he   thought   maybe   he   could   actually   start   enjoying   the   festivities   again   —   that   is,   until   she   drunkenly   called   their   whole   relationship   bullshit   on   halloween   night   and   subsequently   dropped   the   bomb   that   she   didn't   love   him   all   the   very   next   day.   the   plan   this   year   was   to   take   henderson   and   the   rest   of   the   squirts   out,   but   apparently   they're   '   too   old   '   to   be   babysat   —   so   here   he   is,   tagging   along   with   sinclair's   younger   sister,   who's   more   likely   to   babysit   him   than   the   other   way   around.   steve's   on   a   mission   to   enjoy   this   halloween   like   he   hasn't   in   so   many   years,   and   to   be   honest,   it's   off   to   a   pretty   good   start.   erica   knows   where   all   the   best   houses   in   hawkins   are   —   it's   like   she   has   a   goddamn   map   of   the   city   or   some   shit.   "   how   huge   are   we   talking   here?   it   better   not   be   any   of   those   100   grand   bars   or   any   shit   like   that.   "
