He’d opted not to go for his morning run, instead he’d allowed himself to rest and take his time int he shower. The logic was that he was filming later and while the plan wasn’t for it to be anything super strenuous he figured that it was still a solid enough excuse to feel legitimate. As he readied to leave he grabbed his toothbrush again and made his way into the bathroom. Though he’d brushed them after his morning coffee he was terrified of arriving at Gabriel’s suite with breath that was less than minty fresh.

He paused outside his door, mentally running through a checklist of everything that he had wanted to ensure was done before he left. Though he was confident he’d forgotten it wasn’t strong enough to keep him frozen in place. Instead he made his way to the blond. 

“It’s Cory,” he said, his voice raised slightly as he raised his fist to knock. It was still weird showing up knowing what was going to happen, but he hoped that at some point that would go away.

When Gabriel said he was going to come to her apartment and actually take her somewhere, it was refreshing. Don’t get her wrong, she loved hooking up like a cat in heat, but sometimes getting to know her coworkers on this level was a nice change of pace.....at least for now. Humming as she zipped up her flowy white sundress, she let her long black hair hang in loose waves, light makeup on her face to showcase her freckles. It was brunch after all, might as well attempt to look sweet and simple she thought as she swiped some gloss over her full set of lips. Checking the time, she heard a knock at the front door, wedges padding across the floor as she swung it open with a grin, “Hey you. Come in, I gotta turn my music and stuff off.” She said as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which was common for her even not knowing him too well, she always wanted others to feel welcome in her presence.
